Head Office – Medical Intern (M/f) At The Chain of Hope

About La Chaîne de l’Espoir:
La Chaîne de l’Espoir is an international NGO founded in 1994. Its mission is to strengthen health systems to give everyone, and especially children, the same chances of survival and development. We work in 28 countries using a comprehensive approach, centered on the child but also on mothers and disadvantaged communities.

  • Prevention and screening from a very young age, particularly within the framework of school health programs.

Position and mission:
He/She will be under the direct responsibility of the Head of the Medical Department.

Main activities:

  • Support for activities carried out within the framework of the ‘The Future of Hospitals and their Health Systems’ initiative , in which the Chain of Hope is leading the Human Resources in Health (HRH) theme: providing the Technical Expertise Directorate with administrative and logistical support and technical support in public health, contributing to the organization of events such as webinars, workshops, etc.
  • Organization of meetings, training sessions and workshops: Assist the Department Head and his team in organizing and facilitating meetings and training sessions for healthcare professionals.
  • Support for medical missions:
    • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of humanitarian missions, including coordination with medical and logistics teams at headquarters and in the field.
    • Organizing meetings with the people involved
    • Forecast of documents and media
    • Drafting meeting minutes
    • Drafting reports and strategic notes: Participate in the drafting of summaries, recommendations and public policy notes on health issues addressed by the NGO.

Secondary activities:

  • Health policy analysis: Contribute to the evaluation of health policies and programs implemented by the NGO in different intervention regions.
  • Data collection and analysis: Participate in the collection of qualitative and quantitative data on access to care, public health indicators and the impact of medical projects.
  • Public health project management: Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of medical projects, ensuring compliance with objectives and performance indicators.
  • Research on innovations in digital health: Studying how health technologies (telemedicine, databases, AI in health) can be integrated into humanitarian missions.
  • Communication and advocacy: Writing articles, presentations, and content to raise awareness of health issues and promote the NGO’s activities in conjunction with the Development and Communication Department.
  • Scientific and regulatory monitoring: Monitoring developments in scientific advances, public health policies, WHO recommendations and best practices in humanitarian intervention.

PROFILE SOUGHT

Student training
in the 2nd year of a Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Economics in Developing Countries, or Health Systems Management.

Terms :

  • 6-month internship agreement
  • Internship dates: June 2026
  • Full-time internship, based at the association’s headquarters at 56 rue des Morillons 75015 Paris
  • Teleworking policy: up to 2 days per month after the first month
  • Compensation: €4.50 / hour (according to the legal scale and based on 35 hours / week)
  • Meal vouchers worth €12.10 covered at 60%
  • 50% reimbursement of transport pass or sustainable mobility allowance (bike) of 45 euros/month
