We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated professional for the position of:

Human Resources Generalist

(National contracting based in Tegucigalpa MDC, Honduras)

GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the operational and administrative management of resident staff, promoting various HR programs and projects and ensuring that HR procedures and policies are understood, respected, and implemented. As a generalist, the HR manager has several technical roles throughout the employee lifecycle.

JOB PROFILE

  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a Human Resources Generalist
  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Psychology or related field. (Graduate)
  • Intermediate written and spoken English (B2)

Technical knowledge in:

  • Payroll calculations, severance pay and compensation.
  • Knowledge of the labor code.
  • Competency-based interviews.
  • Personnel administration
  • Knowledge of an ERP system.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION

• Coordinate and execute the end-to-end processes of recruitment and selection of mission personnel.

• Advise and support Hiring Managers in defining profiles, evaluating and selecting candidates.

• Evaluate, interview and pre-select candidates, coordinating technical tests and medical examinations with the corresponding areas.

• Keep databases and recruitment tools up to date, and support the continuous improvement of policies and procedures with the regional team.

PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT (LABOR RELATIONS / PERFORMANCE)

  • Organize the onboarding of all staff.
  • Coordinate and advise on personnel management processes, disciplinary measures, promotions and salary adjustments) together with the Regional HR Manager.
  • Promote a positive work environment by collaborating with the HR team and the Personnel Committee.

PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION / FILES / CONTRACTS

  • Manage personnel files, contracts, and personnel movements, and ensure legal compliance. Coordinate affiliations and payments (IHSS, RAP, ISR) with Finance and the Regional Payroll Administrator.
  • Collaborate with the Senior HR Officer in training, performance evaluations and monitoring of institutional policies, controlling staff absences and vacations.

EMPLOYEE EXIT PROCESS

  • Accompany the employee throughout the process, explaining calculations and payments in accordance with labor legislation.
  • Registering terminations, payment of benefits, and exit documents.
  • Coordinate with the Senior HR Officer the application of exit surveys.

PAYROLL COORDINATION WITH REGIONAL DELEGATION MEXICO

  • Provide the Regional Payroll Administrator with all the information necessary to process payments.
  • Inform the Payroll Administrator of any legal changes that affect payroll and ensure their correct application in the system.
  • Review and submit monthly incident reports.
  • Coordinate with the Payroll Administrator the preparation and validation of monthly payroll reports.
  • Verify together with the Administrator the calculation of ISR and the correct parameterization of the system.

LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE

  • To know and apply Honduran labor legislation.
  • Advise and support managers in the correct application of the Internal Work Regulations (RIT), Code of Conduct and Labor Code.
  • To ensure compliance with ICRC policies and procedures.
  • Provide advice to staff on HR policies and tools.
  • Maintain contact with external legal advisors on labor issues.

HEALTH

  • Collaborate with the Regional Staff Health Officer in the renewal of medical policies and in the management of payments and deductions to health providers.
  • Provide support in matters of occupational health and staff well-being.

Salary: According to the organization’s salary scale, in accordance with the candidate’s qualifications and the job requirements.
