Who we are?
IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.
IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in the Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host communities through 20 healthcare facilities and other health and nutrition projects
During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management

Job Description
Adult Intensive Care Technician
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit
- Monitor and document vital signs and medical equipment
- Perform nursing procedures and administer medications as directed by the physician
- Respond to emergency situations and participate in resuscitation when required
- Apply infection prevention and control measures and patient safety procedures
Pediatric Intensive Care Technician
- Provide care to children in the Intensive Care Unit
- Monitor vital signs and medical equipment and follow up on the child’s condition
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the physician
- Respond to emergency situations and participate in resuscitation when required
- Apply infection prevention and control measures and patient safety procedures
Anesthesia and Intensive Care Technician
- Prepare anesthesia and intensive care equipment and supplies and ensure their readiness
- Assist the anesthesiologist during anesthesia procedures and surgeries
- Monitor vital signs and the patient’s condition during and after anesthesia
- Monitor patient monitoring devices and mechanical ventilators and ensure they are functioning properly
- Provide necessary care to patients in intensive care units and monitor their health condition
- Perform nursing and technical procedures according to the patient’s condition and the physician’s instructions
- Assist in managing emergency situations and resuscitation procedures
- Administer medications and IV fluids according to the physician’s instructions and authorized scope of practice
- Apply infection prevention and control measures and patient safety procedures and ensure the readiness of medical equipment
- Document procedures and care provided and ensure proper handover between shifts
Required Qualifications
- Academic qualification in Nursing from a recognized university or institute, or a qualification as an Anesthesia Technician, depending on the position
- At least three years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician or Intensive Care Technician in hospitals
- Good knowledge of intensive care procedures, vital signs monitoring, and the use of medical equipment
- Ability to respond to emergency situations and participate in resuscitation procedures
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training is preferred
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work effectively within a team and adhere to infection prevention and control and patient safety procedures
