Purpose and Objectives: The Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) is seeking a skilled and creative Illustrator and Graphic Designer to provide comprehensive design support for all departmental communication and marketing initiatives. The selected incumbent will play a key role in producing visually compelling and effective design materials that adhere to ADPC’s branding style guidelines.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that all visual communications effectively convey the organization’s messages while maintaining a consistent and professional appearance. The Illustrator and Graphic Designer will work closely with various ADPC teams to understand design requirements and develop creative solutions that meet both aesthetic and functional needs. By delivering high-quality design assets within specified timelines, the incumbent will contribute to enhancing ADPC’s visibility, engagement, and overall impact across diverse communication channels.
Expected Outputs: The Illustrator and Graphic Designer is expected to produce high-quality visual materials that support ADPC’s communication and marketing activities. This includes designing graphics for documents, web pages, articles, and other digital or print content, all in accordance with ADPC’s Branding Style Guidelines. The outputs should be visually engaging, consistent with the organization’s brand identity, and delivered in a timely manner to meet project and departmental requirements.
Responsibilities and Tasks: The Illustrator and Graphic Designer shall be responsible for providing creative and technical design support across ADPC’s communication and marketing initiatives. The role includes designing and producing high-quality visual materials for both print and electronic distribution, ensuring consistency with ADPC’s Branding Style Guidelines. The incumbent will also work closely with partners to maintain co-branding standards, as well as perform custom photo and video editing to enhance the overall quality of communication outputs. Additional tasks may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with ADPC program teams and departments to understand design needs
- and deliver high-quality outputs.
- Support teams in applying ADPC branding correctly across internal and external
- communications.
- Produce compelling visual designs for digital and print materials such as reports,
- social media graphics, brochures, infographics, presentations, and event materials.
- Create layout templates, icons, and other graphic assets.
- Design visual assets for social media, websites, newsletters, and multimedia content.
- Optimize graphics and images for various platforms and screen sizes.
- Provide creative input during brainstorming sessions and campaign planning.
- Prepare print-ready files to ensure quality production.
- Edit and enhance photos, illustrations, and other design assets.
- Maintain an organized archive of design files and materials.
- Ensure all visual outputs consistently reflect the ADPC branding guidelines.
- Maintain and update brand assets, templates, and design systems.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and
- accuracy.
- Upon request, edit short videos for social media, events, interviews, and program
- storytelling.
- Create simple transitions and add sound to videos.
- Assist with video planning, scripting support, and storyboarding when needed.
- Optimize video formats for different platforms.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Working Principles: The consultant will work in close collaboration with the Human Resources and Administration (HRA) Unit Manager while maintaining strong coordination with the Program Technical Support (PTS) unit. The role requires adherence to key operational guidelines to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with ADPC policies.
Key working principles include:
Being present at ADPC offices during regular working hours, Monday to Friday, with a flexible schedule of 8 hours plus a 1-hour lunch break in accordance with ADPC policy.
Entitlement to public holidays as per the ADPC Bangkok Office Official Holiday calendar.
Prohibition of engaging in external tasks or work not assigned by ADPC during official working hours.
Qualifications: The individual selected for the Illustrator and Graphic Designer role should have the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or Illustrator, with a strong portfolio demonstrating design skills across print and digital media.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, iMovie, Premiere Pro, After Effects and other design / video software. Knowledge of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
Experience with digital content creation, social media design, and basic motion graphics is an asset.
- Creative and Aesthetic Skills: Strong sense of layout, color, typography, and visual storytelling. Strong creativity and attention to detail. Ability to interpret ideas and translate them into visual concepts.
- Communication and Collaboration: Ability to understand design requirements from multiple teams, provide creative solutions, and coordinate effectively with colleagues and external contractors. Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines without compromising quality. Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and consistency in all design outputs.

Duration: Jan – Dec 2026
Itinerary: The consultant may be required to travel for official missions. All travel-related costs for missions authorized by the supervisor will be covered by ADPC in accordance with the organization’s policies.
Condition of payment: The payment will be made monthly, and the Consultant is required to submit monthly Timesheet and approved by the HRA Unit Manager.
