The Individual Giving and Corporate Support Specialist is an integral part of ILGA World, strengthening the organisation’s ability to mobilise flexible resources by growing support from individual donors and values-aligned corporate supporters.
This is a part-time (50%), fixed-term staff position for 18 months, focused on building repeatable systems and delivering priority fundraising activities during the contract term. Renewal or extension may be possible, depending on available funding and performance in the role.
The role is responsible for developing and implementing ILGA World’s individual giving and corporate support work as a core contribution to the organisation’s broader strategic goals and priorities, including those set out in the 2025–2029 strategic plan.
The Specialist ensures that ILGA World’s fundraising approaches are relational, values-led, and responsive to a fast-changing global context in which funding for human rights and gender justice is increasingly volatile.
The Specialist leads the design and delivery of key supporter engagement activities, including prospecting, annual and seasonal appeals, monthly giving, donor stewardship journeys, and targeted cultivation of mid-size and major gifts. The role also supports the organisation in stabilising and growing corporate support through clear ethical screening, due diligence processes, and supporter offers that align with ILGA World’s mission, values, and responsibilities to the movement.
Working closely with the Fundraising and MEL Manager and colleagues across ILGA World, the Specialist helps strengthen coherence between resource mobilisation, communications, and programme priorities, ensuring that fundraising messages are accurate, non-extractive, and grounded in solidarity and collective care. The role contributes to improved systems for donor data, reporting, and internal coordination, supporting ILGA World to build a sustainable base of flexible income over time.
During the first 12 months, the successful candidate will contribute to:
- establishing or strengthening a monthly giving programme with clear supporter journeys and stewardship
- delivering 2 to 3 supporter campaigns per year with learning and improvement between cycles
- implementing consistent corporate ethical screening and due diligence, and reporting monthly fundraising KPIs.
