Internship at the FIDH Network Animation Office At International Federation for Human Rights

The International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) is an NGO that brings together nearly 200 civil society organizations worldwide. Founded in 1922, it is committed to defending fundamental freedoms and the universality of rights as defined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Independent of any government and recognized for its expertise, the FIDH works to strengthen mechanisms for the protection of human rights and human rights defenders by conducting advocacy campaigns, investigating violations, and pursuing legal action. In all its activities, the FIDH integrates a gender-sensitive and anti-colonial approach. Its headquarters are located in Paris, and its teams are present in Africa, Latin America, Asia, and Europe. The FIDH also has delegations to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, the European Union in Brussels, the United Nations in Geneva, and the African Union in Nairobi.

We are recruiting an intern for the network’s outreach office (FIDH).

YOUR MISSIONS

The intern will participate in the activities of the FIDH Network’s Outreach Office and provide support to ongoing projects. Under the supervision of the office manager, they will be particularly involved in the following activities:

  • Participation in the management of the internal communication platform of the FIDH network;
  • Participation in the development or updating of internal communication tools for the network (FIDH membership kit, organizational chart, how FIDH works, history of FIDH, etc.);
  • Participation in monitoring the administration of members of the FIDH network;
  • Participation in the preparation of information meetings and solidarity actions for members of the FIDH network;
  • Participation in the organization of webinars for FIDH members on specific topics;
  • Depending on needs and current events, the intern may be involved in monitoring other cases.

PROFILE SOUGHT

  • Currently enrolled in higher education such as Master’s degree in Human Rights, International Relations, Political Science, Communication, or similar;
  • Good knowledge of office software and international news;
  • Oral proficiency in Spanish as well as English or French;
  • Good writing skills in Spanish (C1) as well as in French (C1 level) or English (C1 level);
  • Interest in network animation, project management;
  • In total agreement with the working values ​​of the FIDH International Secretariat (professionalism, respect, commitment, equality, integrity, participation, boldness), as well as with the struggles waged by the FIDH for the defense of the human rights of all, everywhere in the world, explained in particular in its statutes and through its publications accessible from its website: www.fidh.org .

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • Full-time internship (39 hours per week) ideally from September 15, 2026 to December 15, 2026 (3 months).
  • Mandatory condition: to have an internship agreement issued by a French educational institution.
  • Monthly stipend of €682.52. Digital meal voucher card with a face value of €9, 60% of which is covered by FIDH. Sustainable mobility allowance for commuting.
  • 6 days of RTT over the period and acquisition of 2 days of paid leave per month.
  • The internship will take place at the FIDH headquarters in Paris and partly remotely.
