RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director Program, as the Grants and Partnerships Coordinator, you will play a key role in the Jordan mission, overseeing business development, grants and partner management, compliance, donor relations and communications.
More precisely, you will be in charge of:
Mission 1: Business Development and Program Design
Lead and coordinate proposal development initiatives, liaising between HQ, ACF’s regional technical advisors, partners, finance, logistics, HR, and program focal points to ensure smooth and timely proposal development processes;
– Working with the Deputy Country Director and technical Heads of Department, support the development of comprehensive program design, appropriate to context and aligned with the country-level strategy;
– Oversee concept note, proposal development processes in line with established practices, and review, consolidate, and finalise full submission packages for validation
– Facilitate and lead project design sessions including cross-function teams and external partners
– Act as a proposal writer as needed, ensuring high quality representation of Action Against Hunger’s project designs
– In coordination with the DCDP and the Country Director (CD), identify funding opportunities and assess their alignment to mission’s strategy and needs identified within the targeted communities
– Lead in the development of a fundraising strategy

Mission 2: Grants Management and Compliance
– Lead in managing and overseeing Action Against Hunger Jordan’s grants portfolio (7+ grants)
– Ensure that grants are well administered and implemented in compliance with the relevant donor regulations and Action Against Hunger procedures.
– Track project spending and proactively assess the need for modifications or amendments
– Oversee donor and internal reporting processes, ensuring high quality, well-written and timely reports are submitted.
– Ensure adherence to the grants management cycle including grant opening, review and closing meetings to ensure project objectives are being met
– Working with program teams provide timely responses to donor and HQ grant-related requests.
– Ensure quality information management related to grants including online grant files, reporting calendars and the grants tracker
– Oversee grant revisions, cost extensions, no-cost extensions, budget realignments, and other as required

REQUESTED PROFILE

You hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in international relations, political science, social sciences, humanitarian and / or development studies, public administration, or other related field.
Experience requested :
– At least 4 years of work experience in humanitarian/development setting with proven field-based experience with grants management, partnerships and business development
– Substantial experience with program design and proposal writing (including logical frameworks).
– Strong understanding of partnership principles
– Sound budget development capacity and financial management skills
– Good knowledge of common institutional donor guidelines and regulations (BHA, BPRM, EU, FCDO, GIZ, GFFO, SDC, UNICEF, AFD, etc
– Familiarity with key program areas desirable (Mental Health, WaSH, Food Security and Livelihood
– Experience working in Jordan or in the Middle East is preferable, but not mandatory
Language level
– Fluency in spoken and written English required
– Arabic a plus, but not required
Skills :
– Excellent problem-solving skills, and proven track record to handle pressure and improve grant management processes
– Flexible and able to adapt quickly to pace complex dynamics
– Excellent communicator with exceptional writing skills
– Diplomatic, but firm approach to obtain buy-in and contributions from a range of stakeholders

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS / SALARY

12 months fixed term contract under French legislation:
– Monthly gross salary from 2 450 to 2 800 EUR upon experience
– Per diem and living allowance: 340 $ + 426 $ net, field paid.
– + 150EUR of monthly gross salary as country allowance.
– + 16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen.
– + Child allowance, capped to 4 children.
Medical coverage:
– 100% coverage of medical expenses + repatriation insurance
Leaves and RnR:
– 25 days of paid leaves per year.
– + 20 RnR per year.
