PLAY International

PLAY International is a French NGO founded in 1999 on a conviction: sport is a source of solutions to meet our societal challenges. The NGO relies on article 31 of the International Charter of the Rights of the Child (UNICEF, 1989) recognizing children’s right to play, an activity essential to individual balance. The main mission of PLAY International is to design and implement education and inclusion projects for children and young people in vulnerable situations, using sports games as an educational tool. The NGO works in particular on issues such as access to and retention in school, gender equality, community reconciliation, health prevention – eating well – moving well – sleeping well – using screens well , the change in outlook on disability…

Since its creation, PLAY International has implemented educational and humanitarian projects in France and internationally in more than 20 countries for the benefit of nearly 1 million children. Today, the association relies on 6 missions in Burundi, the Comoros, France, Kosovo, Rwanda and Senegal. PLAY International is a member of the SOS Group.

Responsibilities and missions

Under the responsibility of General Management and in close collaboration with the Administrative and Financial Director of the International Action sector of GROUPE SOS, your objective is to participate in the strategy and financial management of Play. You are responsible for the good administrative and financial management of the association.

1. Accounting

  • Supervision of Headquarters accounting
  • Control and validation of mission accounts
  • Management of the annual closing

2. Cash

  • Daily management of cash flow
  • Management of bank accounts, Focal point for banking contacts

3. Budget

  • Responsible for the entire process of budget development, review and landing,
  • Mission support for production, updating and budget landing.

4. Lessors

  • Support for missions in the construction and validation of donor budgets,
  • Management of deadlines (reports, disbursements)

5. Reporting / Management

  • Support from the CEO on subjects relating to the Admin/fi scope of the structure,
  • Monthly reporting to the CEO
  • Supervision of a Deputy Administrative and Financial Manager (based in Kosovo), an accountant apprentice and an Administrative and Financial Assistant
  • Support from local office financial managers

6. Logistics

  • Supervision of the management of head office service provider relationships

7. Administrative

  • Office Management

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar scope
  • Experience in association/NGO with donor funding appreciated
  • Excellent level in Excel
  • Fluent English

Conditions

  • Taking office: as soon as possible
  • Salary: €45-47K gross annually
