Resposibilities:
- Portfolio Management
- Responsible for the investment process including business identification, company assessments, evaluation, due diligence processes, and legal term negotiation.
- Support the portfolio with knowledge and expertise in board meetings, building and supporting management teams and other interactions.
- Providing support to CARE pipeline of projects.
- Manage Profit and Loss responsibilities
- Business Development and Strategy
- Actively participate in sourcing and facilitating businesses and supporting them with strategy and positioning them for fund raising and partnerships.
- Serve as board advisor and/ or observe
- Communication/ Engagement
- Represent CSV at local, national, and international events and conferences.
- Interact with entrepreneurs and investors daily.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in business administration, public policy, entrepreneurship and innovation or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in high-performance environments (ex: investment banking, private equity, venture capital, etc.)
- Have a solid background and understanding of working with businesses in MENA, Africa, and Asia. Specifically with Social Enterprises.
- Have an entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving skills in addition to bringing a hands-on approach and ability to lead both internal and external teams.
- Pay attention to detail, show great work ethic and know how to prioritize large, multiple complex projects.
- Are results-oriented and able to excel in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adjust easily with shifting priorities and accomplish multiple tasks.
