This is a position that pays a stipend of €300 per month. Collective Aid is a volunteer run organisation meaning that the majority of our work is done by temporary volunteers. As such the accommodation we offer is a shared room in a volunteer house alongside other coordinators in the city of Subotica with a small food budget.
Collective Aid aims to provide a regular NFI distribution service in refugee hotspots on the Serbo-Hungarian border and in Sarajevo. The purpose of this role is to ensure our Balkans projects have access to the aid they require in order to maintain a regular and dignified NFI distribution service to the communities we support. Your focus will be on ensuring our warehouses, where we receive and process NFI, are well-stocked and organized. This can involve maintaining order in the warehouse, managing volunteers on warehouse shifts, and co-ordinating shipments of NFI from European NGOs to the Balkans.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Procurement
- Build and nurture partnerships with NFI Collection NGOs
- Build and nurture partnerships with local NGOs for the purpose of NFI exchange
- Work with NFI Collection NGOs to coordinate shipment logistics
- Working remotely and in person with the Bosnia & Herzegovina (BiH) team to facilitate quarterly NFI donations. This includes being in regular contact with the BiH Programmes Manager and BiH Distribution/Warehouse coordinator, remotely participating in BiH coordination meetings, collaboratively creating NFI needs lists remotely, and coordinating the importation of NFI donations.
