SENED is an independent non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2013 and registered in Turkey with the number 27-15-175. SENED was established by a group of humanitarian and social activists in responding to the Syrians suffer since 2011. SENED has become specialized in working with and supporting people with special needs since 2015 due to the realization of the tremendous tragedy that people with special needs live in Syria through periodic visits to their places.

Job Purpose

Based in Gaziantep, the Case Worker / Interpreter is under the line management of PSS Counsellor
He/She will be responsible to:
o Implement case management interventions, assist cases to receive disability health report and update service mapping sign language courses to train beneficiaries about how to communicate by using Turkish sign language

Key Activities/Tasks/Duties

o Implement case management activities especially for receiving disability health report through assessment, case planning, case implementation, follow up and case closure through regular case committee meetings
o Work with the team in the organization and externally to identify and register individual cases requiring protection intervention in the field and/or through project center visit,
o Undertaking rapid and detailed assessments of beneficiaries,
o Support to record registration of cases in the database in a timely manner and update information as necessary and ensure that progress is updated in the database,
o Ensuring accurate, timely and secure data entry of all the cases.
o Maintain highly organized case management hard copy files
o Accompanying beneficiaries for referrals etc. if necessary
o Supporting the service mapping and keeping service map updated
o Assists Persons Living with Disabilities (PLwD) in hospitals regarding interpreting from Arabic to Turkish and vice versa.
o Escort PLwDs to institutional facilities for issuing certain documents
o Translate documents from TR to AR and vice versa when required.
o According to the information counselling activities carried out at the center, answer the questions of the beneficiaries who call or visit the project center and fill in-take form
o Support PSS Counsellor on the implementation of awareness sessions and preparation of participant lists.
o Prepare weekly work plan and organize his/her schedule in order to complete tasks in an appropriate manner
o Reporting and assisting PSS Counsellor for project reports.
o Apply principles of confidentiality for all beneficiaries including all written documents.
o Support and promote the standards outlined in the Code of Conduct and associated policies to project team.
o Representing organization when needed professionally.
o Perform any other tasks related to the program when required.

Required Qualifications (Education/Languages/Work Experience):

Essential**
 Bachelor Degree (Psychology is an advantage)
 Advanced level in Arabic and Turkish language.
 Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a similar position.
 Turkish Nationality.

Desirable
 Intermediate skills in the English language.
 Native level in Arabic and/or Turkish language
 Experience working with Persons Living with Disabilities.
 Verified experience in humanitarian work and principles.

IT and Equipment
 Elementary proficiency with Microsoft package.
