- Context
AVSI Venezuela is a Venezuelan non-profit organization, created in 2022, to contribute to improving the living conditions of people living in vulnerable situations. We are a local organization linked to the international context, through a partnership with the AVSI Foundation, a non-profit non-governmental organization that supports 329 development cooperation projects in 39 countries, with headquarters in Italy, that operates in Venezuela since 2000 and that promoted the creation of AVSI Venezuela.
The WFP School Based Program in Venezuela includes school meals served in schools and school meals to take home. According to each modality, WFP has established processes and activities that require coordination between different areas and actors. The School-Based Program includes, in a cross-cutting manner, a communication strategy with communities, inclusive treatment of people with disabilities and nutrition-sensitive actions, like a feedback and complaint mechanism, that together with school meals they aim to provide food assistance that protects the food security of the beneficiary students and their families, respect your rights and facilitate your participation in the school community. Likewise,promote capacity building in school personnel, kitchen staff and representatives, and ensure a gender and protection approach.
2. Object
With this announcement, AVSI Venezuela selects a Consulting Personnel Supervisor responsible for coordinating the hiring of these personnel according to their skills, knowledge and specialties, ensuring the correct implementation of the Program. This person is also responsible for ensuring that contracted consulting staff have the necessary training to successfully meet the standards set by WFP.
3. Description of functions
For the execution of the project, the Consulting Personnel Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Ensure that consulting personnel are trained and trained to carry out the activities assigned to them, ensuring performance in accordance with WFP standards.
- Keep the database updated with consulting staff to ensure the necessary equipment and profiles when required by the work areas.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff on a daily basis.
- Ensure the recruitment and training of people with the necessary skills for each of the program’s implementation areas and its cross-cutting areas, ensuring WFP standards.
- Work in coordination with the Coordinator of Cross Areas, the Leader of Schools and the Engineer/a de Plant to meet the needs and profiles of people for each type of activity to be implemented.
- Coordinate in a timely, transparent manner and without any type of conflict of interest the hiring of personnel per daily day.
- Propose and organize staff trainings according to the requirements and needs of the program.
- Support the Coordinator of the School-Based Program and the Coordinator of Transversal Areas in the organization and planning of activities when necessary.
- Ensure that the roster of daily-day personnel is kept motivated and updated through training, monitoring and capacity-building activities.
4. Key requirements and qualifications
- Education: University education in any area.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience recruiting and training personnel from different areas, as well as developing training and professional growth plans. It will be valued to have played coordination or management roles and camps and / or vacation plans.
- Language: Advanced Spanish spoken and written.
5. Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Knowledge and management of recruitment and personnel selection processes.
- Basic knowledge of personnel evaluation processes.
- Leadership skills and team management.
- Effective communication.
- Creativity and proactivity.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Efficient management of Microsoft Office ® intermediate level.
6. Coordination of work
The Supervisor of Consulting Personnel will respond directly to the Coordinator of Transversal Areas, the Coordinator of the School-Based Program and the State Coordinator, based on the guidelines issued by the LATEAM Regional Office, the Headquarters in Italy of the AVSI Foundation and the World Food Program (WFP).

8. Workplace
Work will be carried out at the AVSI Venezuela office in Yaracuy, so residing in San Felipe or surrounding cities is highly desirable; otherwise, availability to relocate to Yaracuy. Availability for eventual trips to other municipalities and / or states where the project is executed at the national level. Knowledge of the territory will be valued.
