Here’s where you come in:

As the Country Program Director for World Vision Chile, you will collaborate and coordinate in conjunction with the Cluster Director and team all aspects of World Vision Ministry in Chile. You will focus on ensuring national relevance and impact through the implementation of programming, advocacy and sustainability and also ensuring organisational alignment to global strategy and regional priorities.

You will be responsible for co-leading and strengthening the team (with the participation of the Cluster Director and team), especially its leadership, for appropriate and timely decision-making and risk & opportunities identification and management.

Requirements include:

  • At least 5 years of senior management experience.
  • Master’s degree in Sustainability, Marketing, Advocacy, Development or similar.
  • Sound and proven experience in fundraising with ambitious targets.
  • Sound and proven experience in programming and business.
  • Experience working with external partners in a local context.
  • Experience in combining slow and fast onset programs.
  • Ability to juggle emergency response with long-term transformational development.
  • Proficiency or high level of professional and technical Spanish and English, both spoken and written.

Travel and/or Work Environment

  • The position requires the ability and willingness to travel nationally and/or internationally up to 20% of the time.
  • This position is open for Local Applicants based in Chile. Applicants from other countries can be considered to be hired for this role if they possess Chilean residence or permission to work in Chile, to be hired on a local contract (not International).
  • Fixed Term contract (2+ years, subject to renewal), Full time.
