Context & Mission
Médecins Sans Frontières is an independent, international medical and humanitarian organization that provides care to people in need, people affected by natural or man-made disasters, and victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and without regard to race, religion, creed or political affiliation (MSF Charter).
MSF has grown significantly in the last decade, but the HR department has managed this expansion with ad-hoc tools. To better support ongoing demands and the global workforce, OCG has launched an HR transformation initiative which includes the implementation of an HR Information System.
Given the increased operational demand and complexity, MSF OCG needs improved systems to better manage people and data. The program will span several years, with incremental rollouts to different populations within in the field and HQ, covering various modules across the employee lifecycle. Having selected our HRIS vendor and integrator, we are looking for an experienced Change Manager to accompany the organisation through the deployment and adoption of this HRIS.
The HRIS Change expert is instrumental in driving the successful implementation of a new HRIS system as part of a broader HR transformation. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth transition by strategically managing organizational change, minimizing disruptions, and maximizing functional users as well as employee adoption. By collaborating closely with leadership and stakeholders, the Change Manager will foster a culture of change readiness and empower the organization to achieve its strategic goals through the new HRIS platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive HRIS change management strategy aligned with HR transformation goals, working in close collaboration with the integrator’s change management expert and with the support of the OCG change management referent.
- Assess organizational impact of HRIS implementation and identify potential resistance points.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Create and deliver effective communication plans to engage employees at all levels.
- Harness the knowledge and experience of our HRIS Integrator in terms of change management and training and adapt those to MSF environment and reality.
- Design and implement training programs to equip employees with the necessary skills to utilize the new HRIS.
- Measure and monitor change readiness, adoption and progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Manage and mitigate change-related risks and issues.
- Foster a change-ready culture and empower employees to embrace new processes and technologies.
- At time, produce communication materials to ease the adoption of new HR transformational tools, and work together with both internal experts and the integrator’s counterpart on the adaptation of communication and training material to the MSF population and culture
