General Description of the Programme:

SENED is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization licensed and registered in Türkiye with the number 27-15-175. SENED Organization was established shortly after the Syrian Nakba and in response to the suffering of millions of Syrian refugees in Turkey as well as internally displaced people in Syria, to alleviate suffering, achieving justice, equality, and freedom, strengthening the role of civil society, and supporting and developing the local community. SENED works in the humanitarian work sectors to support, empower, and educate the community through several programs, takes exceptional care of people with disabilities and their families and defends their issues.

SENED Association emphasizes creating safe, accessible, and participation-encouraging living conditions for individuals’ emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development by focusing on people with disabilities. Beyond the medical perspective on disability, it tries to find solutions to the problems faced by disabled people with a holistic perspective by considering the disabled people, their families, and the society they live in, focusing on the conditions they experience. SENED Association aims to create a safe and supportive environment and space by conducting family-oriented activities to help disabled individuals and their families become stronger, discover their potential and stand by with their children. By collecting data on refugee-disabled people and identifying problems and needs, SENED strives to ensure harmony between disabled refugees and local people with a voluntary, professional team and a community-based approach. All activities, education, research, advocacy, etc., are carried out on platforms created by local and disabled refugee people.

Job purpose:

The Field Worker operates under the direction of the ERL Officer and, in close association with the Project Manager, is responsible for the development and implementation of the Mission’s operational strategy and for the quality of early recovery and livelihood programmes during the design, implementation, follow-up and evaluation phases. Supporting individuals in the registration process in northwest Syria.

Duties, objectives and competency:

The objectives of the work are to conduct structured assessments of beneficiaries’ needs, implement effective communication strategies with them, and raise awareness about the early recovery and livelihoods program. This work also aims to implement, coordinate, and cooperate with project objectives and activities in a transparent, organized, and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify vulnerable populations and assess specific requirements for multi-purpose financial assistance support, including receiving referrals from other organizations.

• Monitor and evaluate beneficiaries who need vocational training

• Coordinating with beneficiaries to receive financial aid

• Conduct a labor market survey to identify occupational gaps and identify the most common professions

• Contribute to post-distribution monitoring of cash distribution activity to beneficiaries

• Contribute to conducting final questionnaires in order to ensure the implementation of all livelihood activities and the distribution of cash to beneficiaries

• Supporting individuals in the program registration process through awareness sessions, individual guidance, and following up on the process when needed.

• Support team members in gathering information, sharing project objectives and facilitating collaboration for effective project implementation.

• Assess and verify eligibility of beneficiaries based on pre-defined criteria for multilateral cash assistance.

• Implement multi-purpose financial assistance, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to protocols, including regular communication with beneficiaries.

• Collect feedback from beneficiaries to inform program modifications and improvements.

• Document project activities, challenges and accomplishments for project management and relevant stakeholders.

• Collaborate with local partners to enhance community resilience and promote long-term sustainability beyond immediate relief efforts.

Requirements: Essential

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree

• Previous experience in field work, preferably in disaster response or humanitarian projects, 1 year at least.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within various local communities.

• Cultural sensitivity and understanding of local context, customs and traditions.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in challenging environments.

• Fluency in Arabic.

• Commitment to humanitarian principles and values.

Requirements (desired):

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. humanities and social sciences).

• Familiarity with NGO work.

• Work experience in northwest Syria
