Placed under the hierarchical dependence of the Country Management, the person who will occupy the functions of Finance Coordination will direct and supervise financial management and planning, the budget of free funds and restricted funds of the entire mission, the budgets programs, cost recovery, co-financing, cash flow for all Oxfam operations in Chad. It will be an agile element between the PQMEAL/PROG/LOG/HR services in order to ensure great transparency, efficiency and financial effectiveness.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?

  • Responsible for updating, disseminating and enforcing Oxfam financial policies and procedures and any other procedures having an impact on financial management.
  • Do everything possible with your team to ensure efficient and optimal use of resources and thus support programmatic quality and affirm the financial strategy of the mission in general.
  • Responsible for the reliability of financial information through accounting that meets the standards established by the institution as well as adjusted and optimal cash management.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

  • Starting position: April 1, 2024
  • Initial duration of 12 months
  • Annual gross salary: €34,408
  • Leave: 34 days per year (annual leave + public holidays in mission country)
  • Insurance, per diem, accommodation, R&R, travel paid for by Oxfam according to the conditions in force
  • Location: Chad – N’Djamena, with travel to bases in the country.

Essential criteria

  • At least 3 years of experience in similar positions in international NGOs. At least 2 years of experience in emergency contexts. International experience essential.
  • Experience working with humanitarian and development donors.
  • Knowledge of donor procedures, standards and requirements. Ability to manage multi-donor budgets.
  • Experience working with national NGO partners.
  • Experience in strengthening and supporting local partners.
  • At least an undergraduate degree in Finance or related disciplines.
  • Good command of written and spoken French. English, desirable
  • High level of Office proficiency (Word, Excel). Knowledge of SAP will be appreciated
