Head of Finance & Administration (m/f/x)

Become part of our currently seven-person finance team! As Head of Finance & Administration, you will be responsible for the strategic development of the financial architecture, administrative processes and thus also the organizational culture. You will be part of a progressive, cooperative management team and report directly to the Executive Board.

The place of work is the “Friedenshaus Am Kölner Brett” in the Ehrenfeld district.

What you can expect

  • You will be responsible for the development, conception and implementation of processes and projects in your area of responsibility. Therefore you will be given the freedom to implement ideas and make decisions.
  • You will lead a highly motivated, experienced and very knowledgeable team, whose members will report directly to you disciplinary and functional. Your colleagues are looking forward to working with you.
  • You will manage and be responsible for a broad and interesting portfolio of topics relating to financial and personnel accounting, management of various third-party funds, controlling and reporting.
  • You will play a central role in forumZFD’s internal committees and working groups as well as cross-departmental processes and make a holistic contribution to the success of our work.

What you bring with you

  • Identification with the goals and mission statement of forumZFD as an internationally active non-profit peace organization. You are a reflective personality who is aware of the implications of working in the context of conflict transformation issues and brings a corresponding attitude to your day-to-day work.
  • Relevant university degree, preferably in the field of economics – or comparable qualification; affinity for numbers and analytical thinking skills
  • More than 5 years of work experience in finance & administration, including experience in the design and development of processes, initial management experience is an advantage
  • Ability to work under pressure, independence, ability to deal with conflict, ability to work in a team, sense of humor and proven skills in intercultural cooperation
  • Organizational skills, flexibility and strong communication skills
  • Structured, reliable and conscientious way of working
  • Ideally business fluent in German, very good knowledge of English
  • Willingness and ability to relocate to Germany

  • A permanent position
  • Remuneration is based on our company agreement on salary structure. The advertised position is assigned to salary group 5b (manager).   • Negotiable weekly working hours: 32-40 hours (80-100%)
  • Flexible working time model without core working hours
  • Mobile working, in consultation with the team up to 80% of monthly working hours

  • Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and Shrove Monday are traditional work-free days
