POINT was established as NGO by a group of Diaspora humanitarian experts. As an NGO, the co-founders of POINT realized the crucial gaps between providing aid and the need for building the resilience of communities.

We believe at POINT that the best solutions to support the people in crisis should be by a quick transformation from rapid response to resilience method, as this approach within humanitarian operations is crucial to the first efforts of a community to recover, rise again, and start to use their capacity, starting from education and livelihood at the first stages, ending by early recovery and rehabilitation at later stages.

POINT works in many countries closely with civilians like IDPs, Refugees, Returnees, and host communities, In addition to the local initiatives, local NGOs, and INGOs. For that, POINT has organized to hire all needed experts, skills, and tools that are necessary for POINT mandate in resilience and organization development.

POINT always seeks to increase its geographical coverage areas in the world to reach the most vulnerable civilian groups and work with them hand in hand for a better sustainable life.

POINT is registered in Turkey as a non-profit organization, the HQ is in Gazianetp, and has missions in Iraq, and Syria.

Position Purpose:

HR & Admin officer will be responsible for managing every aspect of the employment process, including, orientation, and training of new staff members, and managing payroll.

Duty station: Turkey – Gaziantep

Reporting to: CEO.

Main Tasks:

  • Assist in ensuring staff compliance with human resources policies, as per POINT’s HR Manual comply with Turkish labor regulations.
  • Providing counseling on policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that leave, recruitment, and training trackers are updated on a regular basis.
  • Monitor staff attendance and ensure that all staff timesheets are submitted and filed on time and prepare the monthly payroll.
  • Preparing job descriptions, advertising vacant positions, and managing the employment process.
  • Orientating new employees and training existing employees.
  • Ensure new staff receive an appropriate orientation and induction.
  • Ensure clearance and debriefing is carried out for exiting staff.
  • Monitoring employees’ performance.
  • Communicating with staff about issues affecting their performance.
  • Ensuring that all employees are organized and satisfied in their work environment.
  • Assist in communicating with interview candidates and scheduling for tests and interviews.
  • Prepare employee contracts and all requested documents to be archived in HR department.
  • Preparing documents to obtain a work permit.
  • Responsible for ensuring the following are accurate, complete, and up to date: personnel files as hard copy and soft copy
  • Assist managers and staff on effective performance management and administer the collation of performance management documentation.
  • Commitment to the path and values of the organization (Faith in youth and volunteers, Integrity and honesty, sacrifice and altruism, teamwork and team spirit, innovation and creativity, elegance handling and patient dignity, responsiveness, and initiative).
  • Respect and apply all the PSEA and child protection principles and show high commitment to report any PSEA & CP action.
  • Managing social media accounts
  • providing administrative support and managing office needs.
  • Managing office stock, preparing regular reports (e.g. expenses and office budgets) and organizing company records.
  • Executing any other tasks assigned to him by the direct supervisor.
  • Adhere to all point organization policies and abide by administrative orders and disciplinary procedures in the event of any violations.
  • A pledge to abide by the zero-tolerance policy adopted by the Point organization in cases of sexual exploitation and abuse, and direct reporting in the event of any violation in this regard.

Note:

  • the above-mentioned key responsibilities / accountabilities are illustrative ones. Another future responsibilities/accountability may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in any related field
  • At least two years of experience in humanitarian work in similar tasks, HR & admin department.
  • Recruitment cycle experience.
  • Highly organized and with the ability to characterize and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic. Turkish is an added advantage
  • Good in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Good reporting skills.
