CONTEXT

Integrated within the headquarters ICT unit, the ICT Network Administrator will support his colleagues in the administration, maintenance and support of the ICT infrastructure, including but not limited to network maintenance and troubleshooting, server administration, Windows domain administration, communication systems administration, storage administration, printing support, backup administration and network security administration. The IT infrastructure team also provides 3rd tier support to the Service Desk.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the optimal performance of the running systems, tools and networks (data center, cloud services, mobility and remote access services, unified communication, identity management, AD, etc.)
  • Configure, support, maintain and upgrade networks and servers
  • Carry out the installation and the integration of new systems in the Test/Production environment
  • Configure basic cloud services (mainly Azure IaaS environment)
  • Ensure network security and connectivity
  • Install, configure, and maintain network cabling and other networking equipment such as switches, Firewalls, Wireless, Video Conferencing
  • Ensure backup for systems and data is routinely made and securely stored
  • Create and maintain network & servers users and their permissions
  • Assist System Administrators with maintenance of VOIP phone system
  • Provide 2nd/3rd level support
  • Implementation of recent technologies in the various technical domains covered
  • Support in the definition of strategies, projects, infrastructure design and operating procedures
  • Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
  • Create technical support documentation for systems and applications
  • Maintain an inventory and up-to-date vision for the overall IT systems

REQUIREMENTS

Education and experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related fields, or equivalent by demonstrated experience
  • Initial experience of at least 4 years in Network Administration and support or ICT infrastructure implementation
  • Any of the following certificates: CCNA, CCNP, CMNO, Network+, Microsoft Azure, Fortinet NSE, Juniper is an asset
  • Experience with MSF or other NGO’s in similar contexts will be an advantage
  • Languages: good command of English, French is an asset

Technical knowledge:

Required Skills:

  • Operational Knowledge Experience in Networking, QoS optimization and performance monitoring, troubleshooting and monitoring tools (Fortinet firewalls, HPE Switches, deep knowledge for network protocols)
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure.
  • Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, routing and switching
  • Experience in Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V
  • Microsoft 365 administration, exchange online, Azure Active directory
  • Experience in Microsoft Configuration Manager/Intune
  • Experience in Windows Server administration (AD, DC, DNS, GPO…)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure IaaS)
  • Experience in Backup systems and storage systems (Veeam, Synology, HP 3PAR) is an asset
  • Knowledge in Linux operating system, proxy servers, web servers
  • Knowledge of current devops tools (GitHub, Ansible…)
  • Some experience with Infrastructure as a Code and Docker
  • Some experience with database administration is an asset (PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, MySQL, …)

  • You can adapt to recent technologies, eager to learn and a strong troubleshooter
  • You are flexible to implement changes while reducing the impact on the activity of our users; working occasionally out of office hours is not an issue.
  • You want to keep learning; you are open to share your ideas, knowledge, and experience

CONDITIONS

  • Expected starting date: As soon as possible
  • Contract type: Open-ended contract (CDI) – Full time
  • Location: based in Brussels
  • MSF will be willing to sponsor work permit and visa requirements if the selected candidate is from outside of EU. Other “inpat” benefits may apply (travel expenses, help in moving costs, …)
  • Salary according to MSF-OCB HQ grid – A gross monthly salary starting at € 3847 (submitted to Belgian taxation and social security deductions) – Possibility of additional valuation of experience and expertise acquired depending on the profile of the candidates
