Contribute to the success of CA by delivering profitable business results and building CA’s reputation as ‘go to’ provider for International Development Quality Assurance and Inspection service

Main Job Purpose

  • To manage and provide technical subject matter expertise for the day-to-day operational delivery of Quality & Assurance and Inspection services from CA Inspections Singapore Office – ensuring client needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Contribute to establishing the company as a respected provider of inspection services regionally across the East and Southeast Asia region.

Responsibilities

Management

  • Co-ordinate and direct Inspectors to carry out contracted work for designated clients.
  • Support inspectors and monitor the quality and adequacy of inspection work, ensuring that it adheres to the CAI management system.
  • Provide subject matter expertise supporting for the management and maintenance of inspector competency matrix and generates inspection checklist.
  • Provide subject matter expertise supporting for the delivery of inspection of power sector equipment (e.g. substation plant equipment) e.g. including review or reports and the development of required inspection checklists.
  • Directly respond to client enquiries.
  • Support the development and expansion of a database of new inspectors across the East/Southeast Asia region
  • Support training of new inspectors by providing induction briefing and specific inspection assignment training.

Inspection

  • Undertake vendor appraisals and technical inspection assignments in line with QM Systems and procedures as and when required.
  • Carry out any necessary witness testing assignment of goods.
  • Produce technical reports and inspection checklist.
  • Undertake consultancy/advisory work in area of Quality Assurance and Inspection Services as required.

Business Development

  • Maintain regular contact with the clients to check on work requirements and give feedback on work performance.
  • Identify new business opportunities, by helping clients identify further inspection needs and by identifying and developing potential new inspection clients.

Win

  • Network with clients, partners and associate consultants to enhance client awareness of company services and capabilities
  • Support the development and management of relationships with senior clients and their teams, acting as a trusted expert advisor
  • Support the identification of new business opportunities, by helping clients
  • identify further inspection needs and by identifying and developing potential new inspection clients.

Technical delivery

Where applicable, the Job Holder shall

  • undertake all procurement in compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) in accordance with the provisions of our Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (Human) (WDA (H)) issued by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and our United Kingdom Controlled Drug Licence issued by the Home Office
  • ensure that all procurement is carried out using the relevant corporate IT system(s) in operation

About you

  • Inspection management and delivery
  • Subject matter expertise – Electrical / HV Testing and Inspection
  • BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent working experience
  • Previous inspection experience in manufacturing or services business is required.
  • Good understanding of Inspection and testing of HV/MV/LV electrical substation equipment (desirable)
  • Knowledge in electrical engineering specifications and familiar with industrial standards (IEEE, IEC, CIGRE, etc.) preferred.
