OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB
The field focal point or leader of field surveyors will be in charge of being the focal point of the team of surveyors that ACTED and Queens’ University will have in the field within the framework of collaboration for the execution of an ongoing research project .

The interviewer leader will track and monitor in real time everything that happens in the field activities linked to data collection. Ensuring the satisfactory execution of relationships in the field, contributing to the achievement and fulfillment of the different phases of the project cycle of this study. Support is not excluded if required in the collection of information in the field.
In turn, data collection involves the execution of focus groups that allow the quantitative information to be triangulated. Having an integration of methods.
The study is projected into data collection. This through the selection of samples in population groups deserving of equity (women, LGBTIQ+ population, people with capacity). As well as control groups. The selection criteria and sample size are previously selected.

GOALS

• Participates in the planning of field activities led by the Manager and research assistants
• Accompanies and monitors data collection activities in the field. Both quantitative and qualitative
• Support if required with the application of the data collection instrument.
• Establish a framework of commitment and responsibility with the groups of people surveyed and interviewed.
• You must establish communications with the communities where the interventions are carried out, allowing the sustained achievement of alliances with community leaders, and with the communities that participate in this study. This is in order to safeguard the data collection work in the field.
• Channel possible concerns of the participants. This through the socialization of the complaints and conflict resolution mechanisms implemented by ACTED and Queen’s University for the purposes of this study.
• Internal coordination with the research team (organization and participation in meetings) to monitor the organization and execution of planned activities in the field.
• Manage and lead the team of surveyors in the field. As well as in the work linked to the execution and leadership of focus groups in the field.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Human Resources
• Accompanies and advises field and/or piece-rate personnel during data collection activities
• Promotes the development and good performance of the team.
• Maintains harmony and assertive communication during field and work activities.

Logistics.
• Organize routes and access to terrain.
• Notify incidents on routes and accesses.
• Report problems or obstacles related to field mobilization.
• Plan schedules for providing snacks and lunches during the execution of field activities.

QA

• Contribute to the socialization and field implementation of the CRM mechanisms of this project.
• Channel possible concerns of the participants. This through the socialization of the complaints and conflict resolution mechanisms implemented by ACTED and Queen’s University for the purposes of this study.
• Learning (Contribute to the process of building lessons learned within the framework of this project).

Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse
• Create and maintain an environment that prevents sexual exploitation and abuse, promoting the application of ACTED’s zero tolerance policy and code of conduct.

QUALIFICATIONS, HUMAN QUALITIES. REQUIRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Qualifications
● Technical or professional (preferably in the field of social sciences). Competencies for good treatment towards and within the communities where the data collection will be carried out are valued.
● Show good interpersonal relationships that allow the management of work groups, especially towards the field team.
● Previous verifiable experience in work related to the position. Especially with the work of team coordination on the ground, establishment of alliances with community leaders, capacity for mobilization in communities, etc.
● Previous experience working in a field context and with vulnerable groups (will be an advantage).

CONTRACTUAL CONDITIONS
• Piece-rate contract, for days worked.
• Fees starting at 30 USD per day actually worked.
• Position location: Caracas, Coro
