Who are we looking for?

To implement our work, we are looking for an employment volume of 40 hours per week ( Part-time possible ) at the next possible date a: n Junior Speaker: in project finance with controlling activities ( m / f / d ) ( initially limited to 24 months ).

As a junior speaker: in project finance with controlling activities, you focus your work on donor-financed projects ( low and medium risk ), which are implemented within the International Programs department in accordance with internal process specifications and donor guidelines. They are responsible for the financial and contractual formal quality assurance and financial review: i.e. managing budget creation in the application process for projects ( low and medium risk ); Cooperation with project speakers, Country offices and partners regarding the successful implementation of all financial aspects of the projects; Development of knowledge of the financial and formal donor requirements and their successful application in the entire project cycle from the application to the final audit.The aim is to ensure the highest level of compliance and financial security for the individual project as well as for the entire portfolio. This also includes the revision of reports and the review of document lists, research in the internal financial accounting software, as well as other tasks that arise.

YOUR TASKS

  • Responsible for the review and support of the financial and contractual project execution of low and medium risk projects
  • Review and release of financial reports
  • Administrative financial support in the settlement of publicly funded project funds ( calls for funds, project transfers, etc. )
  • Year-round financial project monitoring ( Burn-rate controls ) of your own portfolio, in close coordination with the responsible program officer
  • Entering and checking project data in the internal financial management software People Soft
  • Takeover of communication with the CARE country offices and partners on financial aspects and contact person for donor-specific questions
  • Preparation, monitoring and follow-up of audits from our own portfolio
  • Further financial and administrative support for work processes in the department

YOUR PROFILE / REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed studies in finance, administration, economics, controlling or similar or a corresponding training with professional experience
  • Very good business knowledge
  • Experience in project management and financial management
  • Experience in handling and applying donor regulations is an advantage ( e.g. AA, BMZ, EU etc. )
  • First professional experience in the field of international cooperation, professional experience abroad is an advantage
  • Structured, solution-oriented task implementation
  • Pronounced communication skills
  • Willingness to actively work in a team and take responsibility
  • Flexibility and resilience
  • Knowledge of German and English, other foreign languages is an advantage
  • Everyday safe IT handling ( MS Office especially Excel, Internet )
  • Intercultural competence
