Specialist: in quality assurance and change management in the department of donor compliance/project controlling with a focus on project finance (m/f/d) At CARE Germany

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To implement our work in the International Programs department, we are looking for a 40-hour week worker as soon as possible for a specialist (m/f/d) for quality assurance and change management in the project controlling/donor compliance and project finance department.

GOAL OF THE POSITION

In this role, you will work along the strategic goals of the organization. You bring expert knowledge and quality criteria to the donor compliance/project controlling department, give project controlling consultants and assistants and CARE Germany country offices technical input, advise the department on fundamental issues and have a significant influence on internal change management. You lead cross-departmental processes in order to influence quality and process optimization in the long term. As a specialist speaker, you keep yourself up to date on the topics in your department and share trends and innovations with the department. As a subject specialist, you will be in contact with the team leaders, bring your specialist topics to the Leadership Team program and report to the department head.

YOUR TASKS

• Technical management of the speakers and assistants project controlling in a matrix organization
• Technical advice to the International Programs department on fundamental issues in the department, as well as advice on setting up multi-country, consortium and partner agreements
• Development and implementation of quality standards for the department
• Coordination of donor audits, evaluation of audit reports and implementation of recommendations
• Control of the process optimization in the event of changes in the framework conditions and their technical support, e.g. the development of a project database
• Shape knowledge development sustainably for the department, identify needs and initiate measures to build capacity
• Promote cross-team exchange in the department, e.g. put cross-team topics on the agenda
• Maintain cross-departmental exchange, among other things form an interface to organizational controlling, create synergies
• Advising the Program Leadership Team on policy issues
• Taking on operational project controlling tasks as required
• Further assistance in optimizing workflows as required

YOUR PROFILE / REQUIREMENTS

• Completed studies in a relevant subject (economics, law, finance or similar) or comparable training
• Several years of professional experience with good business knowledge and very good knowledge of financial management, controlling and contract law, partner projects an advantage
• Very good knowledge of process and project management as well as experience and motivation for developing efficient processes
• Safe handling in the application of regulations of German and European donors
• Competence in taking on tasks within the framework of internal and external legal advice is an advantage
• Very good knowledge of German and English, further foreign language skills are desirable (French, Spanish)
• Experience in dealing with financial software systems, experience with project databases is an advantage
• Everyday IT skills (MS Office, especially Excel)
• Very good organizational skills and structured way of working
• Flexible, resilient, team player and solution-oriented personality with high decision-making authority
• Willingness to travel on business
