The World Food Program ( PAM ) is the largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger in the world. WFP works for a world where every man, woman and child has permanent access to enough food to lead a healthy and active life.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

The Business Support functional area covers administrative agents who are there to facilitate the work of experts. Their function is of an administrative support nature. This is not at all the case for monitoring agents/ food monitor whose function is operational on the one hand and on the other hand centered on the activities of Logistics and therefore requiring a very good knowledge of Logistics and in this case, for the food chain, in order to conduct technical work and enter very precise structured reports

DESCRIPTION OF THE POST

Provide standard business support processes for a specific area of professional work, to facilitate the provision of effective services

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ( not exhaustive )

1. Gather information with clear guidelines to support the drafting of documents and prepare the reports of other staff members.

2. Respond to requests and intensify if necessary, to provide quick and accurate service to customers.

3. Support the processing and management of current administrative and financial tasks in various functional areas, in order to contribute to the efficient and timely management of resources.

4. Provide standard document review and verification services to assist in the development of specific documentation.

5. Take responsibility for maintaining established standard systems and files, to ensure that the information is accurate and easily accessible for the function..

6. Identify simple discrepancies in statistics and data, such as missing information, and report to senior staff to support clients to deliver their work.

7. Take responsibility for data integrity to facilitate the availability of accurate information in the company’s systems.

8. Provide advice on current methods and practices of support to young colleagues to ensure that services are provided consistently and to the required standards.

9. Work with a variety of people, taking into account comments, if any, to assist in the provision of business support for staff.

QUALIFICATIONS MINIMALES STANDARD

Expérience:

Quatre ans ou plus d’expérience de travail progressivement responsable dans le secteur des affaires relatif avec l’expérience dans le travail administratif général.

Langue:

Services généraux (Siège): Maîtrise (niveau C) en langue anglaise. Maîtrise (niveau C) ou connaissances intermédiaires (niveau B) d’une autre langue officielle peut être requise en fonction de l’emplacement du poste ou du domaine de responsabilité.

Service général (terrain): Maîtrise de la communication orale et écrite dans la langue de l’ONU utilisée au lieu d’affectation et dans la langue du lieu d’affectation, si elle diffère.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES POUR L’ENTRÉE DANS CE RÔLE

  • Maîtrise de l’utilisation d’équipement de bureau et de progiciels informatiques, tels que Microsoft Word.
  • Connaissance des méthodes de travail et des routines de travail afin de terminer les processus sous une supervision minimale.
  • Utilise le tact et la courtoisie pour donner et recevoir de l’information à un large éventail de personnes.
  • Capacité d’identifier les écarts de données et de corriger les problèmes nécessitant une attention particulière.
  • Capacité d’offrir des conseils ou une formation de base sur le tas à un personnel plus jeune
