Project Associate At ACDI/VOCA

The Project Associate (PA) is responsible for providing administrative support to ACDI/VOCA projects, new business proposals, and technical initiatives. PA demonstrates basic proficiency in ACDI/VOCA systems and procedures, understands basic donor requirements, and performs multiple tasks with high degree of accuracy and good judgement. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for international development and a long-term interest in economic growth.

Responsibilities

Primary activities include but are not limited to: drafting and editing scopes of work, supporting field mobilization and repatriation of staff and volunteers, reviewing and processing expense reports, making travel arrangements, processing visa requests, providing support in editing and formatting of project reports and documents, processing powers of attorney and other legal documentation, and assisting with the procurement of goods and services. In addition, the PA is expected to participate in new business proposals as proposal coordinator which includes maintaining the proposal calendar and communications, assisting with proposal research, collecting documents, formatting CVs, coordinating and/or conducting capture trips, and maintaining proposal document libraries on SharePoint. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications include a BA in International Development, Agriculture, Finance, Economics or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum one year of relevant work experience. Knowledge of USAID/USDA highly desired. Fluency in English and professional proficiency in French and/or Spanish required. Additional proficiency in French is desired. Ability and willingness to travel to less developed countries required. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to work independently and as part of the team, strong organizational skills, ability to be effective in a fast-pace environment, demonstrated resourcefulness, leadership and initiative to learn new skills, as well as positive and constructive attitude.
