SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association which, for more than 40 years, has provided
relief to populations victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters by responding to vital needs, drinking, eating and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and promotion hygiene but also in the essential aspect of food security and means of existence. Present in around twenty countries, SI teams – 3,000 people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, a few volunteers, etc. – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.
THE MISSION
Become a volunteer in Ile-De-France to raise awareness of the needs of vulnerable people!
Join our delegation of volunteers from Ile-de-France and participate in various awareness-raising actions that take place throughout the year. Volunteering for SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL means helping the association improve its notoriety and the scope of its awareness-raising actions.
Your main missions? – Organize or participate in general public events such as:
- The Water Bar at festivals: Run a “Water Bar” stand with our teams at Solidays on which we will distribute drinking water to festival-goers while making them aware of the importance of access to drinking water for everyone in the world, all in a spirit of conviviality and solidarity. We need you to raise awareness among the general public about the needs of the most vulnerable populations.
- Awareness-raising actions in schools: Running fun workshops in primary and secondary schools where we propose to raise students’ awareness of the issues of humanitarian action and access to water in the world and more particularly in developing countries. crisis.
- Exhibitions: You will support us in setting up exhibitions related to our humanitarian actions.
- Documentary screenings: We regularly offer to different structures the broadcast of documentaries filmed for our humanitarian missions.
