Resource Mobilization Technician At Education

1. Objective of the position:
The objective of the position is to contribute to the strengthening and expansion of financial and collaborative resources
for the Educo Foundation in Guatemala, through the formulation and
presentation of quality project proposals to institutional and
private donors, efficient execution of resource mobilization strategies from
private and/or individual sources, and the effective management of administrative activities
related to fundraising.
2. Essential tasks:
Under the supervision of the Resource Mobilization Manager, you will carry out the
following tasks:
1. Formulate and write project proposals in quality and time in coordination with
partner entities and/or specialist advisors of Educo for presentation to
potential institutional and/or private donors.
2. In coordination with the Resource Mobilization Manager and the
program area, identify project ideas that can be replicated in
similar contexts and scalable at a financial and social level, for management before
institutional and private donors.
3. Identify and explore funding opportunities, including
institutional, private and individual donors, with the goal of diversifying the
organization’s sources of income.
4. Collaborate in the development and execution of comprehensive resource mobilization strategies
, with a focus on institutional, private and individual sources, to
ensure sustainable financing of Fundación
Educo programs and projects.
5. Collaborate in the preparation of grant requests and presentations for
institutional and private donors, ensuring the timely and accurate presentation of
the information necessary for decision making.
6. Actively participate in the organization of fundraising events and campaigns
, both online and in person, coordinating logistics, promotion and
subsequent follow-up.
7. Manage and keep the database of institutional and
private donors updated, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of the information collected.
8. Support the administrative management of fundraising, including
payment monitoring and other processes.
9. Actively participate in Educo’s planning processes, meetings, workshops and events
, when required.
10. Stay updated on resource mobilization and philanthropy strategies,
participating in relevant training and education to continually improve
skills and knowledge in the area.
3. Academic requirements:
Essential
Bachelor’s degree in areas of Social Sciences, Economics, Public Relations,
International Relations, Business Administration, Marketing,
Development Cooperation or careers related to the position (Essential).
4. Work Experience:
✓ Have at least three (3) years of work experience in formulating
development projects from a human rights and well-being perspective.
✓ Technical and analytical management of the Logical Framework and annual operational plans, according to
international cooperation criteria and good writing of technical reports with
quality standards.
✓ Experience in positions related to resource mobilization, fundraising
, institutional development, donor relations or similar fields,
preferably in non-profit or social sector organizations. (Valuable)
5. Skills and abilities
✓ Solid knowledge of project formulation
✓ Solid and verifiable knowledge of resource mobilization strategies and techniques
, including attracting individual and corporate donors.
✓ Good analytical, synthesis and writing skills.
✓ Proactive, creative and results-oriented attitude.
✓ Application of a gender, human rights and risk management approach.
✓ Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
✓ Skills in preparing donation requests and reports for donors.
✓ ICT tools, Microsoft Office and Web Systems.
✓ Negotiation skills, teamwork, assertive communication and negotiation.
✓ Advanced English language proficiency (speaking, writing and conversing,
Essential). ✓ 4-wheeled vehicle driver’s license ( standard and automatic
vehicle driving is essential ). 6. Location The work headquarters will be at the Educo offices in Guatemala City. 80% work is expected in the office and 20% in the field to visit projects and other management actions in our coverage areas. 7.
