Casamance (450km south of Senegal) marks the beginning of the tropical forest. The agricultural, fishing and pastoral potential is higher than anywhere else in Senegal. Bordered by bolongs, rivers, backwaters, mangrove trees, beaches, humanly edible wild fruits, Casamance is the most touristy area of ​​Senegal. The traditions are more accentuated. Despite all the efforts of the Government and development partners on women’s rights, the fact remains that they still remain too dependent.

For Cause Première, the best way to fight against the exploitation of women and for their inalienable rights as stipulated in the various international conventions such as the United Nations, it is imperative to provide them with technical knowledge. This allows them to gain financial autonomy. This way, they will be able to defend their rights themselves. Cause Première firmly believes that women are even more intelligent than we are led to believe and are the best managers. For this reason, Cause Première, with the help of its French partners (PC Coup D’ Pouce), has just built a brand new training center in different sectors EXCLUSIVELY for women and young girls: the < /span>.Center for the Vitalization of Women’s Intelligence (C.V.I.F)

For the Center for the Revification of Women’s Intelligence (C.V.I.F) it is about awakening intellectual and techniques (even illiterate) women and prove to them that they are just as capable or even more.

The center of Vivification of Women’s Intelligence (C.V.I.F) for the making of reusable organic sanitary napkins has just opened its doors in Ziguinchor (built on 176m² for 800m² available) 10 minutes away from all the amenities of the Municipality of Ziguinchor. The vocation of the CVIF is to give equal opportunity to all women through training on Income Generating Activities such as , among others:

• Saponification training unit (in production)
• Training unit in organic cosmetics manufacturing
• Training unit in processing of agricultural and fishery products
• Essential oil extraction unit (carapa procera, basil, mint, tin, coconut, baobab moringa, avocado, also macerated carrot oils, aloe Vera etc.)
• Advice on matrimonial matters
• Legal assistance (cases of gender-based violence, excision, forced marriage, early marriage, domestic violence, etc.)
• Health prevention and post-trauma support (cyst, fibroid, myoma, cancer)
• FM radio solar station “mussolu kang” (the voice of women in Manding)
• Career guidance advice
• Gym exclusively dedicated to women

In the medium term:

• Making biodegradable sanitary napkins from banana fiber for women on the go
• Making diapers for babies and adults

To successfully complete this mission and set up the Community Rotary Incubation Fund (F.R.I.C) whose objective is to finance the projects of women who have benefited from training within the Center for the Vivification of Women’s Intelligence (C.V.I.F) without having to rely on external funding, the NGO Cause Première is recruiting;

• marketing-sales agents for the promotion of products from the CVIF to finance the activities of women once they have obtained their diploma,
• volunteers for fundraising
• volunteers for training in these different sectors mentioned above
