Background
SLM is preparing a proposal in response to The Global Fund’s Request for Proposals for LFA services in Myanmar. This role entails independent verification of grant performance, financial management, and health product supply chains under challenging conditions, including post-disaster recovery and systemic disruptions.
Position Summary
The Junior Finance Professional supports the Senior Finance Professional in conducting financial verifications and analysis. This role focuses on detailed transaction testing, documentation review, and data reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and compliance of reported financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Finance Professional in all aspects of financial verification and spot-checks.
- Perform detailed testing of financial transactions, tracing expenditures back to source documents (invoices, receipts, bank statements).
- Assist in the review of PR financial reports, budgets, and variance analyses.
- Help prepare working papers and draft sections of LFA reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
- Participate in on-site visits to PRs and Sub-Recipients (SRs) to conduct verifications.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance and accounting.
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in finance, accounting or audit.
- Familiarity with standard accounting software and principles.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Prior experience with the Global Fund is strongly preferred.
- Fluency English is mandatory.
- This position has a mandatory requirement to be based in-country (Myanmar).
