As SRD Center Jordan, it will bid for a consultancy, “Labour Market Assessment & Gap Analysis,” in Jordan. The global objective of this technical assistance is to enhance the readiness of the Jordanian workforce to access international employment opportunities (with special focus on Germany) through structured and ethical migration pathways. The Labour Market Assessment & Gap Analysis will support the development of targeted skills development programs and structured migration pathways by identifying occupational demands abroad, analyzing existing gaps in the Jordanian workforce, and proposing recommendations for bridging these gaps. The identified occupations will be in focus and promoted during the duration of the project. This consultancy will also guide policy discussions, institutional interventions, and programmatic planning for advancing sustainable labor mobility efforts from Jordan to Germany.
SRD Center seeks a consultant (German nationality only) to contribute to a livelihood and vocational program being implemented in Jordan in the labor market sector.
The duration of the assignment will be approximately 6 months of remote work. Please note that CVs will be assessed on an ongoing basis, and therefore qualified candidates are encouraged to send their CVs as early as possible.
Competencies for the Consultant
- At least a Master’s degree in Social Science, Political Sciences, Statistics or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting evaluations for multi-sectoral/integrated program approach-based consortium projects/programs, collecting data and producing quality baseline/midterm/end line study reports, preferably for international non-governmental organizations or multilateral agencies.
- Sectoral expertise and experience in emergency projects (mandatory).
- Experience working in the conflict or post-conflict environments (preferred, not mandatory) Good knowledge of the context and the conflict in Northeast Syria, where the project is being implemented.
- Experience of effective interaction with local non-government organizations, government departments, and population.
- Strong established field-based structure to enable autonomous data collection.
- Evidence of similar work in the recent past.
- Ability to deliver report within the deadline set out in the TOR
Roles and Responsibilities of the Consultant
- Contribute to the preparation of the design report
- Take part in the data collection during the design and field phases
- Be involved in the debriefing meeting
- Deliver quality inputs on time
- Responsible for drafting key parts of the design report and of the final evaluation report.
