CONTEXT:
Within a Regional Directorate for the Sahel and West Africa (Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Chad, Togo), Humanity & Inclusion (HI) has been present in Chad intermittently since the 1990s. HI operates in N’Djamena and in Borkou (North), Ennedi (North East), Moundou (South), Lake Chad, Kanem, Barh el Gazel (West) and for the past 2 years in the East on the border with Sudan in Ouddai and Wadi Fira.
The main areas of current intervention are as follows:
– Functional rehabilitation and stimulation therapy as a complement to nutritional responses;
– Inclusive education and education in emergency contexts with child protection;
– The socio-economic integration of the most vulnerable households, particularly through the development of income-generating activities, vocational training, and emergency assistance;
– Le MHPSS ;
– Shared storage
– Conflict transformation and social cohesion.
HI’s strategy in the country is to maintain the level of operations, particularly in emergency response, and to renew a portfolio of development projects, based on its “core areas of expertise” in the country: assistance to vulnerable people, including people with disabilities, inclusion, mine action, physical rehabilitation, education, etc.
YOUR MISSION:
As part of our emergency response to the Sudanese refugee crisis in Chad, HI is strengthening its shared storage action to serve international and national actors in the humanitarian response to this crisis.

• Ensure representation, as well as good coordination and communication with humanitarian actors and government authorities, in collaboration with the HI/Atlas Logistics teams;
• Contribute to the organization and operationalization of the shared storage system in conjunction with the relevant partners.
• Produce an evaluation report in their area (supply chain and financial aspects).

The position is likely to evolve depending on the operational context and program needs, potentially leading to a more cross-functional distribution of responsibilities.
SPECIFICITIES/PARTICULARITIES OF THE POSITION:
Adré is a border base in eastern Chad, near Sudan, in a significantly more isolated and operational environment than N’Djamena: leisure and service options (restaurants, shops, sports activities) are limited, and expatriate social life is restricted. The local context remains heavily influenced by the Sudanese crisis and the ongoing arrival of displaced populations, maintaining pressure on resources and a high level of vigilance. The major risk concerns security incidents related to the proximity of the border (spontaneous tensions, opportunistic crime, spillover effects of the conflict), hence the security and movement management rules (temporary restrictions, movement regulations) aimed at reducing exposure to risk while ensuring the continuity of essential activities.
YOUR PROFILE:
– You have at least 3 years of professional experience in humanitarian logistics, ideally in emergency response (rapid deployment / ramp-up).
– You already have proven experience in managing or setting up a logistics platform / warehouse, including significant flows and, if possible, a multi-actor system.
– You have experience in purchasing and contract management (warehouses, transport, handling, fuel/energy) and in supervising service providers in a constrained/secure environment.
– You have mastered the “end-to-end” supply chain in urgent situations (procurement, purchasing, transport, storage, distribution) with a prioritization logic.
– You are proficient in the necessary purchasing management software; knowledge of LINK is a major asset.
