Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to effectively design and implement a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation system to track the progress and effectiveness of the overall grants efforts.
Job Description:
- Plan, produce and review cost proposals for the assigned project.
- Design and implement a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation system to track actual against projected expenditure of funds received.
- Ensure the collection of data that measures progress and tracks the effectiveness of the approved budgets in implementing projects.
- Conduct assessment and provide feedback on progress toward program targets and benchmarks.
- Ensure donor compliance especially European Union (EU) funded project.
- Ensure quality control, rigorous monitoring, and evaluation.
- Support to the programme team program team with budget revisions and realignment.
- Produce budget vs actual expenditure (BvA) report, analyze spending trends, and provide updates to the programme team.
- Represent BRAC at donor and other stakeholder meetings for funding opportunities.
- Facilitate budgeting and reporting for NOGAB in coordination with different sectors.
- Coordinate with respective sectors to determine funding needs.
- Ensure timely submission of proposals and reports to donor agencies.
Safeguarding:
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation, and team members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a critical source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding to establish a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident occurs and encourage others to do so.
Educational Requirements:
MBA/ Master’s degree in finance/ accounting from any reputed university.
Experience Requirement:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the relevant field in donor-funded programme in which at least 2 years’ experience in the grants and financial management, preferably in EU-funded projects for at least one year.
Additional Job Requirements:
- The candidate should have two years of experience as a Grants Manager/Finance Manager and hands-on experience in NGOAB budgeting and reporting
- Strong understanding of BRAC’s values and mission, development sector, global development scenario to identify funding trends, financial and grants management, donor agencies
- Familiarity with financial planning, budget preparation, expenditure tracking, donor compliance, and cost control mechanisms
- Strong communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with teams and stakeholders
- Ability to operate in a complex organization, across functions and work on own initiative and collaboratively as part of diverse teams
- Commitment to BRAC’s values, safeguarding, accountability, and gender-transformative programming
