Hand in Hand for Aid and Development (HiHFAD) is a Non-Profit, Non-Governmental, Charitable Incorporated Organization registered in the United Kingdom and in Türkiye (TR: İyilik İçin El Ele Derneği) that provides high standards in humanitarian and relief services to the most vulnerable wherever needed through local engagement and global support.
Established in 2011 by a group of British-Syrian diaspora, HiHFAD was born out of a desire to extend a helping hand to vulnerable groups and displaced families in Syria and beyond. Since then, HiHFAD remained at the forefront of humanitarian agencies, providing life-saving aid to Syrians in hard-to-reach areas. Our extensive Healthcare Program has enabled us to expand and reach even more communities and internally displaced people; providing a comprehensive, integrated multi-sectoral intervention in Health, Nutrition, WaSH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Protection, Shelter, Non-Food Assistance, Food Security, Livelihoods, and Education.
HiHFAD mandate is to alleviate the suffering of those in need without any type of discrimination, protect the most vulnerable, promoting social justice and welfare, and fostering durable solutions through delivering community-based humanitarian and development interventions.
Job overview
The Field Senior Officer – Technical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of media coverage across all projects, activities, and events within the organization. This role involves ensuring the production of high-quality media content, including photography, video montage, and storytelling, that aligns with the organization’s standards and advocacy efforts, especially concerning international projects and events.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Technical supervision of media coverage for the organization’s projects and events.
Production of professional media works, including photography, video editing, and storytelling.
Quality assurance of media materials produced.
Auditing and improving media content across the team’s outputs.
Technical arrangements for live broadcasting and visual identity during events.
Ensuring the application and updating of visual identity standards.
Management and archiving of media materials on cloud storage platforms.
Developing technical guidelines and supporting documents for media content production.
Supervising the implementation of media activities and adherence to quality standards.
Building the media capabilities of the team and other departmental staff.
Background Knowledge & Experience
Education Level: Minimum Institute Communications, media studies, marketing etc..
Work Experience: Media and Communications Officer in non profit organaization 3 years minimum
Trainings: Formal training in media production, photography, and video editing.
Workshops on quality assurance and media standards.
Languages: English: A2 Arabic: C2
Skills and Abilities
Strong technical proficiency in media production and editing.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Ability to maintain high quality standards under tight deadlines.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with standard media production software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
