Job Title: MHPSS Coordinator
Location: Damascus / Latakia / Deir ez-Zor – 3 positions
Position Purpose
The MHPSS Coordinator leads the design, coordination, and technical quality of mental health and psychosocial support services at the center level, ensuring survivor-centered, evidence-based interventions and compliance with international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and implementation of MHPSS activities at the center.
- Supervise and mentor MHPSS Facilitators.
- Ensure interventions follow IASC guidelines, Istanbul Protocol and MRD safeguarding standards.
- Establish and update referral pathways to specialized mental health services.
- Develop staff training, case reviews, and debriefing sessions.
- Support donor reporting and represent MRD in MHPSS cluster meetings.
Qualifications
- Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
- At least 4 years’ experience in MHPSS programming, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and child protection.
- Excellent leadership and staff support skills.
- Arabic required.
