IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.
IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in the Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host communities through 20 healthcare facilities and other health and nutrition projects
During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct mental health and psychosocial support sessions
• Deliver key messages about mental health, psychosocial support, and protection programs
• Introduce the client to centers and programs
• Conduct awareness sessions on mental health, psychosocial support, and protection
• Develop individualized care and safety plans, which are developed collaboratively and monitored jointly with the client
• Monitor the development of the ongoing care plan, paying particular attention to safety and family stability issues arising from the effects of domestic violence
• Set long-term and short-term goals in case planning, which may include family stability and addressing safety issues
• Coordinate the provision of social services to the client, family, and other significant persons (including referrals) to enable them to cope with the impact of mental illness on individual family functioning and to maximize the benefits of healthcare and support services
• Act as an advocate for the client
• Conduct reviews to ensure the appropriate use of services from admission to discharge/termination
• Assess client/survivor satisfaction and the quality of care provided Facilitate group support sessions
• Maintain current and comprehensive client files and clinical review sheets to support documentation and reporting responsibilities.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management as required. Contribute to donor and internal reports as required.
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct, internal regulations, and policies for preventing exploitation, sexual abuse, and child protection.
Required Qualifications:
• University degree, preferably in health, mental health, social sciences, or another relevant field, or at least five years of experience in the same field.
• At least one year of experience implementing protection, gender-based violence (PSW), or social work programs, preferably with a case management or psychological background, in humanitarian or development settings.
• Experience or training in mental health and psychosocial support services is preferred.
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic (and English, if possible).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Experience working with children and women. • Syrian national (residing in Syria).
• Experience in facilitating group sessions.
