Job summary :
The services include the execution of installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency response to breakdowns for all equipment related to the cold chain, ensuring the following:
• Maintaining the effectiveness and quality of vaccines by ensuring stable temperatures within the recommended ranges.
• Reducing equipment downtime and minimizing vaccine losses.
• Enhancing the sustainability of cold chain infrastructure operations.
• Improving the operational efficiency of technical equipment and systems in healthcare facilities.
• Supporting the local technical capabilities of health sector workers in the areas of operation and maintenance.
Responsibilities and duties :
1. Installation and operation :
• Receiving the new equipment and ensuring its safety.
• Installation of equipment according to approved technical specifications.
• Carrying out the necessary electrical and mechanical connections.
2. Operation and monitoring :
• Continuously monitor the operational performance of the equipment.
• Checking the stability of energy sources.
• Monitoring temperatures inside cold chain equipment.
3. Maintenance :
• Implementing approved periodic maintenance schedules
• Replace damaged parts with certified parts.
• Restarting the equipment after repair
Faults must be addressed within 24 hours of being reported.
Required qualifications and skills :
Academic qualification
Institute diploma or Bachelor’s degree – or equivalent – in one of the following specializations:
Electrical Engineering
• mechanical engineering
• Refrigeration and air conditioning
Industrial Engineering
• Mechatronics Engineering
Experience
• At least 5 years of practical experience in the field of operation and maintenance.
• Experience in cooling systems or power systems.
Technical skills
• Reading electrical and mechanical diagrams.
• Using technical measuring devices and diagnostic tools.
• Dealing with solar energy systems and their components.

• Installing equipment in accordance with approved technical specifications.
• Carrying out the required electrical and mechanical connections.
2. Operation and monitoring:
• Continuously monitoring the operational performance of the equipment.
• Verifying the stability and reliability of power sources.
• Following up on temperature levels inside cold chain equipment.
3. Maintenance:
• Implementing approved preventive maintenance schedules.
• Replacing damaged parts with approved spare parts.
• Restarting and testing equipment after repair.
Response to breakdowns must take place within a period not exceeding 24 hours from the time they are reported.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Educational qualification

• Electrical engineering
• Mechanical engineering
• Refrigeration and air conditioning
• Industrial engineering

Experience
