Founded in 1991, Islamic Relief France (SIF) is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to emergency relief and development. SIF is currently seeking a program coordinator for its mission in Chad, primarily based in N’Djamena.
Mission
Reporting to the Head of Mission, you will be responsible for managing the project managers. You will also work in collaboration with the administrative-financial, field and logistics coordinators.
Your main tasks will be as follows (non-exhaustive and subject to change):
• Contribute to the development and monitoring of the Mission’s operational strategy: analyze the context and its evolution, develop problem trees and proposed solutions, analyze needs assessments, propose new actions, and maintain relationships with donors and partners.
• Oversee project implementation: plan activities, monitor implementation, and gather verification data.
• Manage project and component managers: briefing, planning, monitoring, supervision, evaluation, performance reviews, and technical skills development.
• Determine the necessary budget adjustments to the program.
• Develop project presentation materials (objectives, methodology, activities, results) for authorities, donors, partners, etc.
Profile
• Required diploma: Minimum of a Master’s degree (BAC + 5) in humanitarian or related fields (Agronomist, Rural Development Engineer, Hydraulic Engineer, etc.);
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management or project coordination;
• Experience in education, WASH, or food security;
• Fluency in written and spoken French;
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet research methods;
• Proven ability in analysis, information synthesis, and writing.
Conditions :
• Fixed-term contract for specific purposes, 6 months, full-time, renewable;
• Contract start date: As soon as possible;
• Remuneration according to profile;
• Per diem, Guest House;
• Health insurance – 60% covered by SIF;
• Repatriation insurance – 100% covered by SIF;
• Break allowance during breaks at 3 and 9 months;
• Round-trip airfare / mission location to home – covered by SIF at 6 and 12 months.
