Project Assistant At CTG (Committed To Good)

Overview of position

CTG is looking for qualified candidates whose experience match the below TOR.

Role objectives

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Allow timely & quality access to primary & integrated health care as clinical care for chronic, acute & moderate diseases.
  • Ensure referral system is considered for patients in need of differentiated treatment.
  • Provide support to organize & implement our clients MHD portfolio (HIV / TB, cholera response, emergency health & nutrition activities) in northern Mozambique.
  • Assist in the coordination & liaison with district health authorities, as well as humanitarian & development partners, including participation in local meetings, documenting meeting & following up on outcomes.
  • Strengthen the community health system through mobile clinics activities response to the continuity of health services reaching people on their communities.
  • Promote health & education sessions for awareness raising in the community related to TB, HIV, MPOX, cholera & other diseases.
  • Assist in the follow up, access to care & referral of patients identified through the displacement cycle ensuring they are not lost to care but rather are linked to care at each step of the cycle.
  • Work with the integrated health MHPSS protection field teams in implementing activities including health education, community engagement, identification of lost to follow up & other vulnerable patients, active case finding & screening & referrals.
  • Organize integrated mobile brigades in coordination with district health authorities to deliver primary health care services to displaced populations & host communities & as needed, support liaison with health authorities & proper escorts.
  • Provide supervision of Team Leaders from integrated field teams & ensure regular monitoring & reporting of community based activities & primary health care service delivery by integrated mobile brigades for updating of health program databases.
  • Work closely with MHPSS, WASH, protection, CCCM & ABA teams towards the delivery of integrated services to beneficiaries & cross referrals.
  • Assist with administrative, logistic & finance tasks to facilitate proper running of all the activities.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Expected output include but are not limited to:

  • Identify the most effective & efficient way to provide health & nutrition care to IDPs & surrounding communities through mobile clinics.
  • Act in the community with dignity following humanitarian principles (neutrality, impartiality, independence & humanity).
  • Daily, weekly & monthly reporting of field work through our client & SDSMAS template for activity monitoring.
  • Ensure that appropriate actions in line with local rules & regulations pertaining to staffs are taken in case a conflict among staffs occurs.
  • Responsible for the day to day accomplishment of activities assigned according to TORs.
  • Adhere to our clients & CTG’s code of conduct as well as the governmental codes of conduct & regulations for staff.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality & discreteness in discussions which involves our clients staff.
  • Perform other duties as may be required.

Project reporting

This role reports to the Migration Health Program Officer.

Key competencies

  • Technical certificate in a specific health course is required.
  • Bachelor degree in a health course is desired.
  • At least 2 years of experience in providing health care.
  • Experience in delivering primary health care through mobile clinics & community based approach.
  • Prior & relevant work experience in Cabo Delgado province, specifically in rural areas.
  • Fluency in Portuguese & working knowledge of any local language & English is required.
  • Holding a valid & official Mozambican certificate in recognized institution according to the course of the technician.
  • Good communication, interpersonal & organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated gender awareness & gender sensitivity.
  • Ability to work effectively & harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures & professional backgrounds.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility & drive for results.

Team management

This role has no team management responsibility.
