Project Finance Employee (m/f/d) Full-time
(Fixed-term contract for 2 years with possibility of permanent employment)
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Implementation of project financial controlling and accounting for international projects in various countries in the field of humanitarian aid and development cooperation.
- Participation in the preparation of budgets
- Ensuring the correct execution of projects according to internal and external requirements (e.g., funder guidelines)
- Review of project invoices from local partner organizations and audit reports from local auditors
- Preparation of financial reports and statements of expenditure
- Contact with local partner organizations on financial topics
- Contact person for the project management group regarding finance-related topics
WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU:
- Completed studies in business administration or finance, or comparable qualification with a relevant focus.
- Ideally, initial professional experience in project finance, finance, auditing or accounting.
- Good to very good German and English skills, both spoken and written (a significant part of the communication takes place in English)
- Good MS Office skills and especially very good Excel skills
- Analytical thinking skills, as well as a high degree of teamwork and communication skills, flexibility, and stress resistance.
- Independent and reliable work ethic: Ability to independently manage financial aspects of projects and to independently organize daily life.
