Its work primarily targets women, girls, and adolescents, who are the key players in every community for a more just and inclusive world.
Objective
WeWorld, active in Italy for years in promoting the rights and well-being of children, girls, and adolescents, intervenes locally with educational and psychosocial initiatives aimed at preventing youth hardship and strengthening educational communities.
In the Cagliari area, within a local partnership, the psychologist will help promote adolescents’ psychosocial well-being through listening activities, individual and group support, and networking with schools, services, and families. Incorporated into a multidisciplinary approach, the psychologist strengthens protective factors, fosters positive relationships, and facilitates access to educational and growth opportunities.
Main activities
WeWorld is seeking a psychologist based in Cagliari for a two-year project on the psychological and social well-being of adolescents.
The figure will carry out, under the supervision of the Project Manager, the following tasks:
- Welcoming and initiating individualized psychological programs for adolescents cared for at partner schools.
- Individual and group psychological support programs for parents who need support in their relationships with their children.
- Constant communication with the project team.
- Monitoring data collection.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and knowledge
- Master’s degree in psychology and registration in the register of psychologists
- Excellent knowledge of the Italian language, spoken and written
- Good knowledge of the Office package
Professional experiences
- At least 3 years of experience working with teenagers and/or in similar projects.
- Knowledge of local health and social services.
Skills and abilities
- High listening and empathetic relationship skills.
- Ability to work in a team, proactivity, dynamism, critical thinking, and the ability to work towards objectives and within deadlines.
- Sensitivity and adaptability to different cultural, gender, religious, ethnic, national, and age contexts.
- Autonomy, precision, reliability and planning ability.
