Responsibilities and Duties
- Welcome and receive patients, visitors, and clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Greet patients and visitors and provide the necessary information and guidance regarding hospital services and departments.
- Register, enter, and update patient and visitor information in the approved records or system.
- Organize patient flow and direct patients and visitors to the appropriate departments and clinics.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and transfer calls to the relevant personnel or departments.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments with medical departments and healthcare staff according to approved procedures.
- Receive payments from patients and visitors and issue receipts in accordance with the established system.
- Accurately record all cash collection and payment transactions.
- Safeguard cash, funds, and financial documents under their responsibility.
- Perform daily cash reconciliation and ensure that the cash balance matches the records and issued receipts.
- Hand over collected funds according to approved financial procedures and properly document all handover transactions.
- Immediately report any financial discrepancies or errors to the direct supervisor.
- Maintain the confidentiality of patients’ personal, medical, and financial information.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception and cashier areas.
- Handle patients’ and visitors’ complaints and inquiries and refer cases requiring further follow-up to the appropriate responsible person.
- Coordinate with medical, nursing, and administrative departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures, safety measures, and hospital policies.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity in all financial and administrative transactions.
- Adhere to working hours and shift schedules according to the hospital’s needs.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor within the scope of work.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in reception, cashiering, or administrative work, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in office software and data entry systems.
- Ability to handle cash and perform financial calculations accurately.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with patients and visitors.
- Professional manner, courteous attitude, and ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of patient information and financial data.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and under pressure.
- Commitment to hospital policies and procedures.
