Mission :

This shared field position (reporting to headquarters) is designed to support several African countries: Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Chad, Central African Republic, and Nigeria.
In coordination with the Head of the Field IT/IS Support Team at headquarters, you will ensure the most efficient use of IT and telecommunications equipment in the region, while adhering to ACF standards and procedures and applicable security regulations, and providing technical support and functional management to the ICT teams.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include supporting country offices on:
Networks & connectivity: managing network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, internet, satellite solutions), ensuring connectivity quality at field bases and missions, and adapting network infrastructure to local constraints; IT support & services:
organizing and supervising user support in conjunction with the ICT or Log/IT focal points at the country offices.
Implementation of effective and consistent support procedures.
Continuous improvement of service quality (SLAs, resolution times).
Leading user training and awareness campaigns.
Operational security: Ensuring the application of IT security rules on infrastructure. Maintaining protection tools (antivirus, backups, access control).
Contributing to security incident management.
Business continuity: Implementing and testing backup systems.
Reducing the risk of service interruptions.
Supporting teams in the event of an IT crisis.
Technical coordination: Functionally managing local ICT and structuring technical practices. Liaising with regional counterparts and headquarters teams.
Supporting the deployment of technical standards.
Participating in ICT/IS projects.
Strategy and performance: Designing, proposing, and monitoring the regional ICT strategy through the implementation of key regional ICT performance indicators. Contributing to the improvement of ICT standards and tools.
Contributing to ICT budgeting and financial planning in the region.

Profile :

You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, networks, and/or telecommunications.
Proven experience in IT operations/infrastructure is required, as well as experience in complex and/or international environments. You have already held a team management position.
Fluency in both spoken and written French and English is essential.
You are proficient in Windows environments and have experience with cloud environments (Azure, etc.). Knowledge of cybersecurity, networks, and telecommunications is required.
You are known for your autonomy, adaptability in demanding and constrained environments, and problem-solving skills.
You have a strong interest in working in a multicultural context and collaborating with international teams.

Employment conditions

Internal and national salary conditions for Action Against Hunger in Cameroon:
You must be legally authorized to work in Cameroon at the time of appointment.
Gross monthly salary (XAF) offered according to the organization’s salary scale.
Paid leave: 2 days accrued per month.
Health insurance
. 12-month fixed-term contract starting July 1, 2026, with possible renewal.
National and regional travel required.
