The position aims to support the design, development and supervision of actions in
support of the sexual and reproductive health programs (PNSR) and child health programs (PISIS) of
the projects that the organization develops in the Sahrawi Refugee Camps
in Tindouf.

She will work under the technical supervision of the Health Coordination and will work together with the entire Doctors of the World team on the ground to achieve the objectives.
Requirements:
Responsibilities
1
– In coordination with the Health Coordination team, conduct health needs assessments in the intervention areas for ongoing projects or potential new interventions and contribute to project formulation.

In coordination with officials from the Sahrawi Ministry of Public Health (MSP), identify the needs for pharmaceutical products (medicines, consumables, and durable medical equipment) for the PNSR PISIS programs.
–
Provide technical support in the formulation processes, using a logical framework approach, related to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) / Child Health (CH) for MdM projects in the CRS, ensuring the mainstreaming of gender and anthropological approaches.

– Promote, plan, and execute health activities and strengthen public health services:
–
Support the PNSR teams (national coordinators, regional coordinators, secretariat) according to a continuous improvement cycle (plan, implement, check, act).
–
Provide technical support to health personnel participating in the PNSR and PISIS programs at all three levels of care: National Hospital, regional hospitals, and clinics.
–
Lead the implementation of baseline studies for the PNSR and PISIS programs. Support the collection of data for the Health Information System. In collaboration with the Health Coordination team, contribute to the analysis of health indicators and propose improvement solutions to the Ministry of Public Health (MSP).

Support the updating, implementation, and monitoring of PNSR and PISIS standard protocols and procedures to ensure quality interventions. Monitor their implementation and support MSP officials to promote compliance at different levels of care.

Technically verify purchase orders for medications, medical equipment, and consumables.

Promote the proper functioning of the Ministry of Public Health’s (MSP) monitoring and coordination tools, such as the National Program for Reproductive Health and Social Action (PNSR-PISIS) platform, monthly coordination meetings, and meetings with other priority programs. Promote and support the Maternal Mortality Committee meetings. Participate in the organization of the Annual Assembly of the Roundtable for Dialogue and Coordination in Health and contribute to the preparation of information for donors.

Contribute to the mainstreaming of gender in health, in accordance with the MSP’s Gender and Health Plan, the policies of the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (MDM), and the guidelines of the Gender and Human Rights Coordination.

Provide technical support in the management cycle of health volunteers and field internships.
–
Actively contribute to the humanitarian response in the event of emergencies and disasters.

– Support and monitor the health component of ongoing projects, considering the projects’ intervention logic, as well as their coherence and complementarity with other actions, products, and activities.
To monitor the health activities of the organization’s active projects, specifically those related to SRH and SI, including maternal and child malnutrition.
– Collect and systematize health/healthcare data and indicators from the MDM monitoring system, specifically regarding sexual and reproductive health, health and safety, maternal and child malnutrition, and the PNSR and PISIS programs. Participate in the analysis of indicators with the Health Coordination team.
– Ensure the availability of verification sources, especially regarding SSR and SI. Contribute to the justification of projects.

– Support the training and education cycle for healthcare personnel:
–
Support the Ministry of Public Health in identifying the training and education needs of healthcare personnel in relation to sexual and reproductive health and safety (SRHS) and sexual and reproductive rights (SRHR).

Provide technical support and promote the implementation of regular training for healthcare personnel participating in the National SRHS Program and the Integrated System for the Prevention and Treatment of Sexual and Reproductive Health (PISIS).
–
Support the evaluation of midwifery and nursing students at the School of Nursing, and, where applicable, the review of programs and content.
–
Support the development of skills and awareness-raising on relevant topics related to SRHS and child health. Promote awareness and integration of a gender perspective in healthcare.

– Actively contribute to the systematization and adoption of best practices in MDM:
–
Contribute to the articulation and coordination with other areas, specifically logistics, administration, gender and human rights, pharmacy, and policy advocacy, actively participating in team meetings.

Actively contribute to mainstreaming gender, anthropological, and environmental approaches in MDM interventions.
–
Contribute to monitoring the mission strategy and ensuring coherence among the various projects underway across different health areas.
–
Participate in regular technical and health-related discussion and coordination forums, communicate any issues requiring attention to the Health Coordination team, and contribute to the analysis of alternatives.
–
Support the implementation and monitoring of health and safety protocols and procedures for MDM staff, both paid and volunteer.

Contribute to updating the Country Strategy.
Other tasks that may be required by the Health Coordination within the scope of their responsibilities and functions.
Training
Academic Qualification:
Required: Nurse specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology/Midwife.
Additional Training:
Highly desirable: Additional training related to the practice of their profession, gender, and the anthropology of health. Master’s/Postgraduate degree in International Cooperation/Humanitarian Action/Public Health.
Requirements
Languages : Excellent level of Spanish is essential. Highly desirable: English, French and/or Arabic
Computer skills : Essential: Proficiency in Word, Excel, internet, and email. Intermediate Excel skills preferred.
Experience
Essential field experience in international cooperation in the aforementioned functions.
Desirable experience in similar contexts and critical security contexts.
