Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles—independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, and transparency—has defined its identity for over 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection, and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around seven areas of activity: Nutrition and Health; Mental Health and Psychosocial Support; Food Security and Livelihoods; Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene; Advocacy; Climate; and Research, Analysis, and Learning. Mission :
We are looking for an intern capable of providing support to the security, safety and access department through the following tasks:
Participate in the operation of the security, safety and access unit, by being responsible for specific tasks
Populate the incident database and track information (including ADS reporting).
Compile and distribute the Security Watch twice a week.
Participate in security unit meetings at ACF-France and ACF-IN levels, draft the minutes.
Assist the deputy director in preparing meeting materials.
Follow up on mandatory briefings for expatriates.
Monitor the training carried out by the security unit and in the field.
Participate in facilitating work on crisis management.
Supporting regional security officers in their activities
Upon request, conduct geopolitical context analyses and identify security implications for country offices.
Assist in the management and review of security documentation coming from country offices.
Upon request, draft security management documents (e.g., specific contingency plans)
Profile :
We are looking for a candidate who shares our humanitarian commitment and who possesses the following qualities and skills:
You are a master’s student in the fields of security, international relations, risk management, humanitarian work, or any other related field, and you wish to contribute to the security of humanitarian operations.
You know how to analyze, structure and synthesize information, particularly on topics related to risk, security or the operational environment.
You are organized, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in an environment where priorities can change.
You are motivated by meaningful work, aligned with humanitarian values ​​and involving collaboration with multicultural teams, both in France and internationally.
Employment conditions
Mandatory Condition: Must have a valid internship agreement issued by a French educational institution
. Internship Duration: 5 months (based in Montreuil, 102 rue de Paris).
Desired Contract Start Date: March 16, 2026
Salary Conditions:
Internship paid at a rate of 4.57 euros net per hour (based on 35 hours per week).
Weekly working hours (38.75h).
Meal vouchers at 8 EUR (60% covered by ACF).
Coverage of up to 50% of public transport costs.
