Founded in 2017, Global Emergency Relief, Recovery & Reconstruction (GER³) is a U.S.-based humanitarian nonprofit organization dedicated to helping crisis-affected communities recover and rebuild through integrated relief, recovery, and reconstruction services.

GER³ provides emergency relief supplies, debris removal, and reconstruction support following disasters and humanitarian crises. The organization focuses on rebuilding homes, schools, healthcare facilities, and critical infrastructure while promoting sustainable, community-driven recovery efforts.

GER³ currently operates in Jamaica, Ukraine, and Los Angeles and has provided humanitarian assistance in nine countries over the past eight years. As the organization continues to grow, GER³ is strengthening its financial operations to ensure sound stewardship of resources, effective grant management, and accurate financial reporting.

Position Summary

GER³ is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and hands-on Senior Accountant to support the organization’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations.

This position is responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable activities, coordinating payroll processes, maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, tracking grant funding and expenditures, supporting monthly financial reporting, and assisting with audit preparation and compliance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and monthly accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Perform bank account and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and related analysis
  • Produce budget vs. actual reports
  • Track and monitor grants
  • Prepare and monitor cash flow projections
  • Support external audits and compliance activities
  • Monitor and manage vendor contracts
  • Manage banking and corporate credit card accounts

Qualifications

  • Associates degree preferably in Accounting or Finance required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in public accounting and/or industry required; 5+ years preferred
  • Experience with non-profits, grant management, and donor compliance preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, formatting, sorting, filtering, and simple formulas.
  • QuickBooks experience
  • Outstanding communication skill and positive attitude

Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
