Doctors Without Borders, an international humanitarian medical association created in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: mainly in cases of armed conflict, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or exclusion from care.
Opening as part of a new position
Mission:
Within the private fundraising department, under the supervision of the BI, Research and Statistics Activity Manager, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of the department’s Business Intelligence solutions.
You will participate in the implementation and optimization of data flows, as well as the development of reports and Power BI tools to manage fundraising activities. You will work closely with business and technical teams to ensure the reliability, quality, and effective use of data.
Main responsibilities
Data Engineer activities (Fabric, Azure and Equinoxe)
- You control the quality, consistency and performance of data pipelines.
- You contribute to the development, maintenance and evolution of data flows (ingestion, transformation, loading)
- You contribute to the design and population of data models
- You design and optimize SQL queries
- You participate in the identification, analysis and resolution of anomalies
- You document data flows, models, and technical procedures
BI Development Activities (Power BI and Equinoxe)
- You contribute to the development and maintenance of BI reports
- You develop DAX measures and formulas in response to problems
- You participate in the testing, validation and acceptance phases of the deliverables.
- You participate in the identification and resolution of functional and technical anomalies
- You provide support to business users in collaboration with the technical team.
- You control the results of the strategic dashboards.
- You write and update the technical and/or functional documentation
Desired profile
Formations :
- You have initial training in data science, information systems, software engineering or equivalent (Bac+5 minimum).
SKILLS :
- You have a good knowledge of Power BI, Fabric and/or Azure.
- You have a good understanding of databases and their environment.
- You are familiar with the SQL language.
- You are comfortable using at least one analysis software (R, Python, …).
- You have excellent command of the computer tools required for your job.
Required qualities:
- You are rigorous, organized and have a good analytical mind.
- You enjoy understanding how systems work and solving technical problems.
- You have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a team.
- You are curious and proactive.
LANGUAGES :
- You speak and write French fluently
- English level B1 minimum
Status and conditions:
- 6-month internship, with mandatory internship agreement.
- Based in the 19th arrondissement of Paris.
- The amount of the stipend is between €4.35 and €7.70 gross per hour depending on the level of education.
- One meal voucher is allocated per day worked, with a face value of €12 (60% covered by MSF).
- 2 paid days off per month.
- Coverage of 50% of public transport subscription (weekly, monthly or annual) or bicycle mileage allowance (€0.25 per km, limited to €450 per year).
