Job Description e

The External Audit support has the following functions:

  • Coordinate SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL’s internal response to DG ECHO’s Compliance AUDIT exercise which will take place at headquarters in November and December 2025,
  • Coordinate the research and prior control of supporting documents to be presented to auditors,
  • Manage the necessary interactions with country offices and headquarters departments as part of this audit,
  • Facilitate communication with the external auditors mandated for this audit.

ACTIVITES

Coordination of the audit exercise

  • Ensures the coordination and monitoring of the exercise schedule, ensuring that deadlines are met by the various internal stakeholders.
  • Develops and updates monitoring tools dedicated to audit conduct to ensure optimal management of the response to auditor requests.
  • Leads internal coordination meetings, if necessary, with headquarters and/or field teams, including capacity building if necessary, to ensure that stakeholders understand their expectations.
  • Ensures the updating of all internal systems and databases relating to his/her responsibilities;
  • Responds to requests for technical and/or methodological support from country offices and headquarters departments during the financial year and provides technical guidance and advice;

Conducting Compliance Audit

  • Acts as a focal point between SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL and external auditors: organizes exchanges, responds to requests, facilitates communication with headquarters and field teams;
  • Manages the documentary collection of elements requested by auditors: Supervises and monitors the search for field documents; Searches for headquarters documents;
  • Carry out an internal pre-audit of the supporting documents for expenditure selections collected by the field or headquarters;
  • Report non-compliance risks to the Department Manager;
  • Manages the processing of non-compliance risks;
  • Prepares files to be sent to auditors;
  • Participates in the reading and analysis of the provisional audit report;
  • If necessary, proposes corrective measures to the preliminary findings issued by the auditors;
  • Prepares communications and internal reporting elements post-audit.

Organization and team life

  • Acts as the focal point for head office and field business representatives on this audit;
  • Ensures the necessary coordination with the departments and fields concerned for effective monitoring of the audit and related compliance issues;
  • Provides regular reporting to the Department Manager;
  • Participate in meetings and service life;

Your profile

Training and Experience

  • Higher education (technical, university, engineering or business school) in financial management, compliance, humanitarian cooperation / Development, Political Science, or any other relevant diploma;
  • Significant experience in conducting external audits;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in field support functions, including coordination positions.

Desired skills and qualities

  • In-depth knowledge of the humanitarian sector essential;
  • Mastery of internal control methodologies and tools and knowledge of internal IT procedures;
  • Mastery of DG ECHO financing rules and good understanding of DG ECHO expenditure eligibility rules;
  • Rigor and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work across departments and quality of coordination;
  • Proficiency in the Office suite, very good proficiency in Excel;
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.

IF will offer you the following conditions

  • Position based at the headquarters of Solidarités International, in Clichy la Garenne (Metro Mairie de Clichy)
  • Contract – 4 and a half month fixed-term contract – Executive status
  • Gross monthly salary of: €3,183 or €3,316 (Level 6) depending on the scale in force at headquarters
  • Teleworking is available: 4 or 12 days of teleworking per month, or 100% teleworking with 3 days of mandatory face-to-face work per month. In accordance with the current Teleworking Charter and the manager.
  • Leave: 2.0833 CP / month and 1 day of RTT / full month of work
