Present in more than 20 countries, the SI teams, 2,500 people in total, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, a few volunteers, etc., operate with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.

The Solidarités International (SI) mission in Chad and Cameroon merged in 2021. Since June 2025, it has also been merged with the CAR, named Tchamerca.
Its coordination is based in Yaoundé. It is composed of members from six departments—programs, SERA, grants, human resources, finance, and logistics—and a country director.

The mission

SI Tchamerca operates in the Lac, Ouaddaï, and Sila regions of Chad, in the Far North of Cameroon, in Ouham and Nana Mambere in the Central African Republic, as well as in Bangui, N’Djamena, and Yaoundé. The mission receives humanitarian (CDCS, ECHO, BHA, PRM, UNHCR, FH) and development (AFD, DUE) funding.

It currently carries out emergency assistance, livelihood strengthening and access to water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH) projects.

10 Bases and sub-bases, including 7 operational ones: Makary, Maroua (Cameroon), Baga Sola, Adré, Goz Beïda (Chad), Markounda and Bouar (CAR). The coordination offices are located in Yaoundé, N’Djamena and Bangui.
Number of national employees: 170.
Number of international employees: 20.
Projected 2025 budget: approximately 14 million euros.
This recruitment notice concerns the position of Partnerships and Grants Coordinator (or coo-grant).

General objective of the position
Member of the coordination team and under the hierarchical responsibility of the grant coordinator, the grant manager works closely with the program and support departments, as well as with the teams in the field.
General objectives of the position:
• Monitor, identify funding opportunities in accordance with the national and global strategy of SI.
• Anticipate all programmatic and donor deadlines, coordinate the different departments so that project proposals, reports and/or contractual modification requests are of quality and completed on time, respecting the deadlines necessary for verification and improvement, in coordination and at headquarters.
• Supervise the compilation and participate in the drafting of project proposals, reports and contract modification requests to be submitted to donors and partners, on time and observing the highest quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with donor procedures and build team capacity on accountability tools and donor procedures.
• Strengthen the teams’ capacities in the search for funding and strategic partnership opportunities at the local level.
Specific issues and challenges
• Ensure proactive monitoring of donors’ contractual obligations, from contract signing to closure and archiving, and ensure that contractual obligations are known and understood by all departments.
• Strengthen the capacities of colleagues in the field in drafting reports and project proposals, with regard to donors’ expectations.
• Contribute to the development of internal and external communication materials.
• Initiate and/or participate in meetings with donors; know each other’s strategies.
• Strengthen existing partnerships and initiate new ones with international and local NGOs.
• Coordinate donor audit activities in the field in conjunction with headquarters; centralize and prepare the documentation necessary for verifications during external audits and the archiving of audit reports.

Higher Diploma in Political Science, International Relations, International Development or equivalent
Good knowledge of the functioning of donor platforms, rules and procedures of various institutional donors
Mastery of project cycle management
Experience in reporting/project proposals with various donors and/or experience in project management funded by institutional donors (field experience desired).
Excellent writing skills (in French and English), analysis and synthesis
Sufficient administrative/financial knowledge for understanding/proofreading financial reports/budgets
Knowledge of the context and experience with IS are a plus
Qualities: Good planning, anticipation, organization and coordination skills to tackle a significant daily volume with numerous internal and external requests. Resistance to stress. Great sense of diplomacy and experience working in an intercultural environment. Team spirit, ability to unite and coordinate team members without being the manager/line supervisor
Appetite for field travel.
Excellent command of French and English.

IF will offer you the following conditions

A salaried position: Depending on experience, starting from 1980 EUR gross per month (1800 base salary + 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a monthly PerDiem of 600 EUR.
SI also covers housing costs and travel expenses between the expatriate’s home country and the place of assignment.

Breaks: During the mission, a system of alternating between work and leave is put in place at the rate of 7 working days every three months (with USD 850 allocated by Solidarités International). In addition to these break periods, there is one additional day of rest per month worked.

Social and medical coverage: Expatriates benefit from insurance that reimburses all health costs (including medical and surgical expenses, dental and eye care, and repatriation) and a welfare system that includes war risks. Essential vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are reimbursed.

Living conditions

The grant manager is based in Yaoundé, where living conditions are comfortable. The guesthouse is located near the SI office. It is a modern apartment with hot water, television, internet, and electricity.
Yaoundé offers recreational opportunities (gyms, bars, restaurants, cultural institute, etc.) and has a large expatriate community.
The grant manager regularly visits the mission’s various bases, particularly N’Djamena and Bangui.
