Founded in 2011, the International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) is an international, non-governmental, non-profit organization that supports humanitarian aid workers by establishing risk management coordination platforms in unsafe environments. INSO offers registered NGOs a range of free services, including real-time situation monitoring, analytical reports, humanitarian security data and mapping, crisis management support, and staff guidance and training. INSO provides daily support to more than 1,000 NGOs in approximately 20 countries. INSO is headquartered in The Hague, the Netherlands, the International City of Peace and Justice.

General objective of the position
The training officer will be responsible for supporting the development, organization, delivery, and evaluation of training courses for national and international humanitarian NGOs to improve their organizational security, crisis management, personal risk mitigation, and humanitarian access. They will contribute to assessing training needs and adapting courses to the context, facilitate training sessions, monitor and evaluate their effectiveness, and provide structured feedback to improve future training.

- Organize training sessions
- Facilitate and co-facilitate training sessions
- Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of training sessions and contribute to continuous improvement.
Required profile
Essential requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the humanitarian sector, adult learning or civil security.
- Advanced level in Microsoft Office (mainly Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Well-developed organizational and networking skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of NGO security and protection management, personal security, humanitarian principles, practices, access and negotiations, or demonstrated understanding of curriculum design, adult learning principles and facilitation techniques.
- A university degree in political science, international relations, law, education, communications, or another relevant academic program.
Desirable
- Experience in delivering courses focused on NGO security management, personal security, humanitarian access and negotiations.
- Experience in public speaking and facilitation
- First aid certifications.
- Fluency in English

Employment conditions
- Desired start date: June/July 2025.
- Monthly base salary: 5,600,000 COP.
- Contract: employment, fixed term.
- 17 working days of annual leave.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position based in Bogotá, Colombia. The role involves frequent travel within Colombia.
