CONTEXT :
Since 2005, Handicap International has been collecting used prostheses. The volunteers’ work is invaluable: they dismantle the prostheses and extract the components in good condition (feet, knees, etc.), then carefully clean the parts, repackage them, and store them methodically until they are shipped to partner centers in Africa and Asia. This activity makes it possible to equip beneficiaries who would otherwise be unable to afford it.
Volunteers also contribute to the day-to-day running of the workshop (receiving/sending packages, etc.). In a joyful and friendly atmosphere, each volunteer finds their place according to their skills.
